At least in my mind anyway

OK, I have bit my tongue, which doesn't feel good, for the whole year. I have tried to stay off the board all year since my interest in the program is not as great as it use to be. However, as an almnus, I will not let my alma mater be ripped to shreds. We do not cheat, recruit, hold kids back in the 8th grade, or name whatever else you want. I, Happy A. Clown, corditially invite anybody that will to come to the game tonight and witness Lipscomb Game Day. It is unique and special. This is why we win. We have involved parents. We also run, block, tackle, and eat a lot of food, lots! Some more than others, but that is the secret to all success. Tackling, Tailgaiting, Running, More Tailgaiting, Blocking, and Nutty Buddies. If the TSSAA tries to split us from publics, we still have our Nutty Buddies and fish fries. You can take our Nutty Buddies, but you can't take our Buddies Nuts. Quiet indeed. Mustang Nation is on razors edge to see what odd thing will happen this year (besides Barney in the parking lot). Enjoy the game, but more importantly enjoy the fish (you know us in the radio crew will!). BTW, Marshall County fans, if a guy named Billy shows up (gray hair and bit on the cushy side) he eats for free.

Excuse me if I get sentimental here, but this is my last post of the season. A look back on this AWESOME Mustang season. We started the season with a lot of newness, new purple chair backs, new goal posts, some new coaches at new positions, new press box, new uniforms, new region, new classsification, and new paint for the field (especially the white!). Lost a few players at the beginning and now at the end, but WOW what a season. I am proud of these Mustangs. There is only one thing that gets me excited and that is Mustang football, and selling a house at 6%, updating my webpage, rooting for my beloved Dores, GWCofC, hearing myself on the radio. OK, maybe there a few things, but MUSTANG NATION is number 1. Let's end this GREAT season with the Gold Ball and some Call Outs. BombSquad keep up the good work, you make us all proud. NOT! hsfball, welcome back, thanks for the help this week. NOT! Mudflap, we need brunch food, not dinner food this week. Maybe something like some white Addias tennis shoes with a little green Addias logo, khaki pants, my faded purple Lipscomb jacket, and a yellow Lipscomb hat propped up on head.

The Lexington fans seem to be more fired up than us, but that is how we like it. This thread will be just like the game. Lexington will come out whoopin and hollerin only to get dismantled by a calm, cool, collected approach to the ball game by the Lipscomb. Bombsquad, keep these Lexingtonians in check for us please. Also, Mustang Nation, don't forget today is the Game Day EVE--Playoff Edition-- show. Pete and I will be on the 50 during practice. I am going to guess Coach Mac will go with the Slacks, Undershirt (since we have the unseasonably warm day), and white hat today. We will interview Elrod, Smith, and get an update with the coaches. Not sure what you mean by this, but as always, I predict the Mustangs for the win. To Mustang Nation, last years first round game was disappointing as far as fan turnout. Are we too cheap to pay the extra money? Don't take winning for grant it Mustang Nation. We need your support at all the games!

I would like to announce the start of ANOTHER new show starting today. It is called LIPSCOMB GAME DAY EVE. It will be co-hosted by me and Pete P. We will give the complete update on Mustang Football with numerous interviews and insight on what the Mustangs do the day before a game. We will be live on location at the Reese Smith Athletic Complex (originally named Stadium until Mr. Pugh was put in charge of the parking on game night, now called Complex, more about that later on LIPSCOMB POST GAME COMMENTARY, which is the day after, LIPSCOMB GAME DAY). We will interview most of the coaches to see what there traditional Thursday is like. What they like to eat, what lucky undergarment they wear, and keys to the game. We will also look at the players and there traditional Thursday meal in the cafeteria and other great traditons (shuddzepitzthurday!) around pre game day. If anybody has any more ideas for the show, let me know. We will be set up in the bleachers around the 50. Still have some chairbacks available, just make sure you stretch before you come. Thursday! Time to update depth chart, get pre-game quotes from coaches, make reservations for radio crew at local eatery, and make myself known at practice. For those of you who can not come to the game, a live internet feed will be available at www.mustangfanpage.com, you can hear myself on the side line, the rev. on color, mr. diamond doing his own thing, and the big boss man on play by play. This game should decide who is going to be the Region Champs. I see a good game with a good size crowd turning out in Charlotte. I believe the game will come down to special teams. Chuckwagon could win the game for Lipscomb. They will need to improve a little though, going 4-5 on Friday. Like my beloved Commadores found out Saturday night, everybody must do there job, especially the wing backs. Who taught them to block outside? Back to the real game.
