I would love to see a cover 0 look personally with my best athletes on Gordonsville’s best receivers. This is lose and you’re done. Mount take the number 1, Cash the number 2, and I also put Wellington at linebacker. I’m sure it won’t be done….but I do think it could be effective.
Wes will definitely put them in a position to win. He is very good at that when he needs to be. Expect to see some wrinkles he hasn’t used this year just like at State last year.

Gordy will be a very tough test for our boys . We need our line to play their best game yet on both sides of the ball . With that said, IF we can get enough protection for our QB, I don’t think Gordy can stop our receivers. It will be a very long night if he’s under constant pressure.

After the 2020 Championship game failure, we keep our humble pie close as a constant reminder .

Got through the 1st round by the narrowest of margins. Bet you’ll need your boys to play better than they’ve ever played before to even been competitive against Gordy huh?
Our boys will give it all they got.

What does SP’s offense look like this year? I’ve only managed to find a few highlights. I know the QB is very talented, but what does the run/pass ratio look like?
This team is much different.

Gordy should win this game. We are lucky to still be playing.

There are plenty of 8-2 teams out there. I know you think it's special cuz sp did it but you guys have a tendency to think something is better because they're in black and orange. We've been over this.
Here’s where you are wrong. We don’t think a 2 loss regular season is special . To us, that’s a letdown. But what we do along with a few other teams across the state is consistently make it past the first couple rounds regardless of our record . It’s obvious your envy exceeds your knowledge.
Best of luck to all young men on this list and to those who were worthy but didn’t get nominated, prove the voters wrong on the field in the playoffs.

NEXT!!
Didn't say your QB wasn't deserving. He is a great player. You singled out our guy, so I gave you the stats. Combine the yards and TD's, not a huge difference.

#1 would be Wellington admittedly I don’t have his stats can’t find them anywhere but optics shows you and your team got dragged twice no matter the competition you probably shouldn’t be over someone else
#2 would be Tominson he probably wasnt even going to win MVP of his own Region. It’s like there isn’t a literal game you can watch between 2 players and one clearly stands out above the other! ( now that Mr Football is out I’m sure the region will save face and flip their mvp)
1795 yards passing with 27 TD's
459 yards rushing with 8 TD's.
He is definitely deserving.

Why is my main man Sam not on the 2A list? This kiddo is easily one of the top players in 2A. This is a no brainer for him to be included here. The voters have let us down on him not being nominated. Congratulations to all of the kiddos on all the lists, but Sam Pickett should be on the 2A list. Taye was fast, but this kiddo is just as fast and only a sophomore. It is a crying shame that he wasn't recognized as one the best players in the state. Good luck to all these kiddos that are represented here though. As always it is a great day to be a warrior.
He will be next year in 1A.

I was an 8th grader on the GB team that went to Pitt and lost all I remember I was COLD!
That was a cold night for sure but a great Pirate win.

Personally, I would rather see us avenge South Pitt denying a trip to the title game in 1985. With that said, I'll be happy to see us get by Sale Creek first. Can't get to round 3 if don't get to round 2 first. Nevertheless, I would be happy either way if we were playing in the quarterfinals.
I was a freshman on that 85 Pirate team. I remember that game very well.

This will be a one score game either way. Wet field or not, both teams will give it all they got. Gordonsville's line may have the edge in size but our boys will be ready. Neither team has relied heavily on the run game this year.
