Yeah they are awesome yada yada yada we know we know.. you guys dont have to keep telling us.... we know o.k. congrats on the win they looked solid but it wasnt like they were head and shoulders above O.S. and if hudson is a senior they better get someone to replace her real quick. because she carried them. Great win. they play great defense congrats on the title /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> oh yeah and i think jackson county was in the title game last year.. don't quote me on that but if they were last time i checked they were still in middle tennessee... oh and clarkrange has a couple of titles as well as pickett county.... but next year maybe they will have a west tennessee state tournament, and then at a separate location have a rest of tennessee state tourney, that way it will be fair to all these horrible middle and east tennessee teams.

Ok maybe he cant add. But if he is a Jackson county fan I don't think I would go that route with him.. Reason being I will almost guarantee you that they have more hardware in their trophy case than the team that everyone thinks should already have the trophy handed to them.

I am not a Jackson countian at all... I do live in the upper cumberland and take pride in the basketball that is played here. Gleason must have some great defense to have held JC to 22 points. But all it takes is one bad night and that is all she wrote. Maybe that night will be Gleason's tommorrow, maybe not. It's basketball, crazy stuff happens. But just because they have been on fire that last few game doesn't mean they are unbeatable, one horrible shooting night from them and one great shooting night for OS may = upset. GOOD LUCK OS take it to the house!!

Guys, I wasn't implying that I thought Laken shouldnt be the co-mvp nor was I saying at all that Molly did. I was saying that she had the same stats as MVP and was on the SECOND team. All I was saying was i figured she would be on the first team that is all i was saying. She has been known to shoot the three occasionally, she is a really good player as she avg. over 20 points and 10 boards a game. She had the same stats as the co-mvp of the league yet somehow finished on the second team. Anyway she is a great player who is a competitor and will not back down from anyone. Most of this regions coaches are local boys. Look at Satterfield and Dillard. I'm sure there are others. A public school at this level simply does not have the resources to "go out and get somebody" from a monetary standpoint. When a school has relatively few teachers,not to mention football coaches, in the building, it makes it hard to find enough help. By the way, Monterey tried to hire from the outside a few years ago and went 3-7. Local boys have improved the program.

Guys, JC played just good enough to win. Neither team played well with 5 errors for JC and 8 for MHS. Don't believe that either team can brag much about anything. MHS not looking good going into next week. Congrats to Hammer, though. District 7A title is up for grabs!

Horton for MHS, Campbell for Clay...MHS had timely hits, mainly with two strikes. Both teams played well. Rematch in Celina on Friday weather permitting.

Monterey 10-1 over Clay. Umpires were late. Had JV game until umps arrived. Both teams played well.

What does it matter who beat who in the early 1900's.... It doesn't those game have been played and are wrote down in a book. winning 8000 games in 3 years does nothing to prove how good or bad a team will do this year. Monterey I believe will be tough. Pride cometh before down downfall so remember that, talk is cheap. And talking about hitting someone in the face is about the most rediculous remark i have heard in sometime. IT IS A GAME. Enjoy the good battles the great wins and when/if you lose do it GRACFULLY. This district is a lot different than what it use to be. Jackson county has always been a very good rival with monterey. There used to be a great battle on the field of diamonds and after the game win or lose they shook hands and were really good friends. ENJOY the game and play it the way it should be played with RESPECT. And get ready for some exciting baseball in district 7a. Mr. Polesit you are definately my hero.

6. Monterey- showed some flashes this season, but will miss Harris. I don't expect much next season, but Adkins did prove to be a big-time scorer at times. I agree that they will miss harris next year. But on the same note they have a 8th grader coming in that is going to be good. She played at burks middle school and scored half of the teams points she is an excellent rebounder and plays with alot of heart. Her name is Molly Heady. Although they will more than likely not be in contention of winning the district I believe they may surprise a few people. Especially in 2 to 3 years. Just my opinion

Yeah, I was at the Monterey game. And no that was not a compliment. Clarkrange beat monterey by that much just Tuesday. I am all for Rooting for your team and all but when you are beating a team that you are supposed to beat and do that stuff it is rediculous. The fans were screaming at the cheerleaders. Calling out the players numbers it was pathetic. For a team to be under .500 and acting like the Dukies is pretty sad. I have a pretty good feeling that you can bring all the people you want but there will be silence amongst them when Livingston is up 30+ and I hope when they are the coach for Livingston presses to make it 50.

Yeah they were really impressive. Pressing a Monterey team when they were up by 40 Point. Great sportsmanship. And your fans are so ruthless. the chants "You can't stop us" ,"scoreboard" and "warm the bus". Ruthless I tell ya. You had more people sitting in the student section than we have that go to our school. nice win though. And storming the court after the game I didn't think the Super Bowl was played until Feb 5th I guess I was wrong DCHS won it Fri. Night

I am from the same region that Trousdale County is in so I know plenty about them have watched them several times this year. They are solid. If Hampton was underdogs to Harriman (no disrespect) then you are in for a real treat. Unless you beat them about 60-0 just my two cents. GO JACKETS BRING IT HOME TO 4A
