It would definately surprise me if they had not been. Like I said this is going to be one great game.

Oh yeah I forgot the score.. Tennessee High Vikings = 35 Maryville Rebels = 28

I have no idea who is going to win this game, I just hope both teams bring their A game and it will be the best game in Tennessee this week. I am looking forward to bringing about 10 people down and we are going to be making a day of it. I will tell you REBELS something you might not know. The Viking program is made up of some very dedicated kids that have been in the weight room now for about a year and a half straight. This is just not a select few, this is the whole team and they are the ones that made that decision not the coaches. This is something that even the kids that are not playing have been doing. I personally was taking my kid last year during track season in at 4:30 AM to work on the weights and then he would practice for track in the evening and he isn't even playing much this year (basically not at all). This whole team is made up of that type of individuals, So yes they are very fast and very strong which I am sure the REBELS are as well. We might not play the toughest schedule here in NE Tennessee, but I see that as an advantage if it is true. The advantage being our guys are not beat up or worn down. And just for future reference this team is very deep with juniors and sophmores so I am sure you will get to see us for the next several years. And I do expect we will always have to go through Maryville to get to the Boro.

This is coming from one of the parents in the stands and I like Shaw. He is a great kid and an awesome fullback. He will get the team 5+ yards a carry and in some of Coach Stubbs game plans he has used Shaw more than other times. The only reason he is not on the field all the time is there is a senior with equal talent in front of him (Major). I still would like to see them two rotate through out the whole game to keep them fresh, but who knows maybe Coach Stubbs is saving that for the REBELS and if he is that D LINE of the Rebels will be glad to turn the pads in on Monday.

It makes even more sense to run up the middle when you have several backs that are capable of doing just that. Major,Bell and Shaw can all take up the middle for 5 plus yards a carry. It would just seem that the smart thing to do when you have so many weapons, is to use them all and keep them fresh. I have not seen a team this year that even comes close to the depth that THS has and we dont use it. I think with the comments that Coach Stubbs made after the South game, I think we will see the team that we are use to seeing. If the strangers to the field are gone and our MEN are back playing like they did against East, it will be a LONG LONG night for the Cyclones.

Well this is the first time I have signed on. I have been reading the posts now for about 2 weeks and it seems to be alot of fun. As for the game last night at the castle. It wasn't pretty other than it was a WIN. Our defense came out strong and it looked as if it was going to be along night for the Rebels, tnen our defense broke down and the offense could not move the ball at all. Our boys need to refocus and play like they did against the East team. This is 2 weeks in a row that we seem to have come out flat. I won't to go to Maryville as bad as anyone and see what should be an awesome game, but we better tend to business one week at a time. GO VIKINGS! thumb
