As a person who has not seen either team play but was cheering for shelbyville b/c i'm a former player of district 8aaa, it sounds like WV won;end of story. Shelbyville may win 9 out of a 10 game series, but they lost the one that mattered so don't say Walker Valley is overrated; By saying that you are giving shelbyville less credit than they deserve bc they deserve a lot of credit for a great season it sounds like. Ultimately they lost to a good team in WV. Wish it could have gone different and shelbyville could have made it to the glass house but give credit where it is due. Just my opinion. On a side note, from what I hear on here and from coaches i keep in touch with in district 8, andrews is the real deal. I hope i get to make it back home next year to watch him play.Anyone know his stats against WV? Wish I could have seen little twilley too this year b/c if he is anything like his brother, and I hear he is almost as good, im sure he was fun to watch. Overall, great season and thanks for the many laughs I received following the season through coacht. While some seem to have much knowledge and have been informative throughout the year, some posts are very comical and it is obvious certain people see EVERYTHING one sided! I guess thats how it goes though. Congrats Shelbyville for representing the district well.

good first couple of wins for Taylor and the cats.. Horton seems like he is playing great from his stats. Taylor is a first class coach who will manage this team well. The boys are just going to have to buy into his coaching style and they will do well. Ill be surprised if they don't finish in the top 3 of the district.

Wow I didn't know that. I don't really understand why they would implement that but thanks for letting me know. I don't see any harm that voluntering could cause. About getting certified in P.E., I am not that stupid.haha. I definitely know the limitations on opportunity if thats what your certification is. I am going to get certified in English which should open up more opportunities. So private or somewhere out of knox county? I guess I'll try to start talking to people to get the ball rolling somewhere..thanks for the info

Like i previously said, i am a student at UT and recently changed my major to what I've always wanted to do(teach and coach basketball) and I am wanting to get involved in a program around here. I figured it could be a great learning experience to be affiliated with a top coach and a top high school program in knoxville, and I'm sure a coach wouldn't mind free help. So thanks for all the information!

ok, I do not talk on here much although i regularly get on here to read others opinions on several topics because i find it interesting and sometimes amusing. There are certain topics that should be debated and there are some topics that shouldnt. Just like there are certain things that should be said on this site and there are some things that shouldnt. This debate about who the mvp should be could go on for days and noone will ever change their mind on who they believe should have received the award. and this debate is a good one and is definitely acceptable. I am from tullahoma and played a few years ago so of course i am going to say cass deserves the award. I don't know who this rowland player is and i have never seen him play this year but i am sure he is deserving as well. It is unfortunate that deserving players have to go without this award but thats just the way it is. I am not going to argue about this award bc i am not knowledgable on how players performed throughout the year bc i am not around the area anymore. So congratulations cass, and i am sorry that rowland did not receive the award also. With all that said, what is unnacceptable is to specifically call out a player and say that he did not deserve to be on the all district team. and i usually don't call people out but wingman, exactly what was your reasoning behind that?? do you think it was necessary or even appropriate to single out a player and say he was not deserving? no, your comment was gauche(or socially unacceptable since your vocabulary probably doesn't know the meaning for that word). You could have easily said that you believe that there was a player that did not deserve to be on the team instead of calling his name directly. Remember, although many people get worked up about discussions on here, these players are still kids; and they are kids just trying to play to the best of their ability. Noone has any right especially you wingman to get on here and ridicule a player directly. and it seems to me that this is not the first time you have made a negative comment on this player. Like i said i am from tullahoma and follow them on here so i see the comments that are made about them and you have negatively referred to this player on more than one occasion. If you have a personal thing against him then it is not appropriate and honestly sad to bash him on here. He is just a kid. Your comment was one that should not have been made so next time before you single out any player whether he is from tull, shelb., FC, CC, LC, Columbia, or any other team remember that these players are kids and you have no right to single any of them out in a negative way. and if you are an adult it is honestly sad that you have not learned that by now. Really? i have not seen them play and have only see us play a few times bc i am at school in knoxville, but from the records it would seem like an easy game? Why do they give us trouble? are they stronger and bully us or are they just better than what their record is? I heard from a player that last game their strength hurt us and that is why we lost the last one

does the district really have any standouts this year? i haven't follwed it all very closely this year but from what i have heard there arent really many like there usually are. I know the district is down this year and i also know that usually at this time it is pretty much known who is going to get MVP(or atleast narrowed down to a couple of names). so who is probably the front runner?

I know shelbyville won by a few at tullahoma earlier in the season. What is gonna happen this time around? It is a big game for the cats because a win locks up 3rd in the district but it is senior night for shelbyville if i am correct. what does everyone think?

Nice post, all i am saying is that there is too much talent with the under classmen for them not to be seeing playing time at the varsity level. and if this keeps carrying on like it is then more than likely tullahoma will lose some young players(very good players) to a school near by. and to be honest, if i was in their situation and was not playing and knew i should be i would probably do the same thing. especially if there was any hope for college basketball. Tullahoma could be a great team(yes i said great) in a few years if all of the weapons are used correctly.
