The Tipton County combined squad from Munford and Brighton are ready. Football has ended for Brighton and Wrestling has Begun!! Munford had a very good showing last Saturday. This squad has many returning skilled wrestlers. Good Luck to all the wrestlers and this should be an exciting weekend!

Master Chief is working hard with the wrestlers in Tipton County. He only lost 2 seniors and has great potential with all his returning wrestlers. Many of whom medaled last year. Demetrius will have a dominant season. Ashton is a senior this year and the rest of the team looks great. Returning senior Chris Hampton -215 is coming off a good football season and ready to hit the mat. Josh Russell is back and stronger than ever. Not leaving the rest of the weight classes out, but this squad will be one of the strongest this year with a doubt. This will be an exciting year for Tipton County.

You may want to pay attention to the county North of Shelby. Brighton only lost 2 seniors. These kids had some great wins last year and are hungry. Master Chief is back with his boys. These Tipton County wrestlers are ready to hit the mat.

It is also Senior Night at BHS. Congratulations to the following seniors for a great and exciting year- Chris Hampton, Joe Payne, Jay Jennings, Johnny Douglas, Leslie Burke, Michael Schultz, Brian Yarbo, Billy Graves and Carlos Hall. I have been to every scrimmage and game with these outstanding players this year. These players have never given up in every game this year. The Cardinals parents and fans are Proud of You!!! GO CARDINALS!!!

Speaking of hilarious - how is that TSSAA investigation going JCM? Have fun with those BEARS tonight.

Would have been a better game if the refs knew how to throw a flag on Hardin County.

West Tennessee is underestimating the best team Brighton has ever had. Keep on eye on this team this year. These kids never gave up against Covington Friday night. I commend both teams on a great game. Brighton makes up in heart all they lack in every other area. The Cardinal Defense is strong and remember where this game will take place Friday night - Cardinal Country. This could be the game of the week.

Congratulations to the Brighton High School wrestling team for placing 4th in the Tournament. This is Brighton's first year and they are having a great season.

The winner of the 275 Novice class is Chris Hampton of Brighton High School. He does not attend Bartlett.
