  1. Well, if they ain't then district 11 is really bad, because they have been picked to win it, or so I heard. And if they are not supposed to win it then who is?
  2. Well, they did shake up the district last night. However, that was just one game and Caoch King will have Moore Co. ready the next time they meet. As far as Huntland being world beaters now, remember that last Tuesday night they got beat pretty soundly by an unknown team in Cascade. I think they got beat by 20+. The score that was posted on here was the girls score not the boys. Coach McGill is a hard working coach and will be very successful, but let's see how they do the rest of the year instead of in just one win in district.
  3. Does anyone no if the Huntland Moore Co. score is correct (Huntland 79- Moore Co. 75)? Was it played in Lynchburg or in Huntland? What happened to Moore Co.?
  4. They will go to the districts and not make out of there. They are going to be good in the future, but not NOW!!. Moore Co., Eagleville, Forrest, and heck, even Cascade will make out before they do. And if for some reason they make out of the district, which won't happen, but if they do they will go one and done in the region. Right now, they still stink. Give Coach Slatten and couple of years and they will be ok. They are relying on a freshman to get them out of the cellar and that ain't going to happen any time soon. Give them TIME!!!
  5. Haleyville is a 3A and Ardmore is a 3A in Alabama. They go 1A-6A with 6A bieng the largest.
  6. Cascade vs. Unionville; Cascade vs. Forrest are usually some great games. Cascade vs. Moore Co. will be a big one this year and will be a friendly rivalry for years to come as long as Coach Pope and Coach King stay at their respected schools.
  7. I don't think that Wayne Co. will go all the way. They have played some very good comp., but bigger schools like that usually come into those games overlooking the little guys. Wayne Co. will have to fight to win that district, and it won't be a cake walk to win that region either. They are good but not going to the 'Boro good.
  8. those two teams must be awful if Clifton beat them.
  9. Who is the pick for the region this year? after seeing this weekends scores i think that Wayne Co. will be a strong contender along with Summertown and Mt. Pleasant. I don't think that any of the teams from district 11 will be able to handle any of those guys, not Moore Co., Culleoka, Eagleville. No one else in that district really even deserves a mention. What do ya'll think?
  10. Let me correct you, obviously you have for got about 2 guys that are seniors and who deserve that title. Jesse Ivey at Moore Co. is a great inside out guy for the Raiders. There is no one better in this district than him. The guy that will walk away from this with the hardware will be David Gallagher at Cascade. He is the toughest player in not only the district, but the region and a true leader for this team as he was for the football team as well. Ivey will give him a run for his money, but Gallagher will come out on top. Demario is not SuperMario and will not win it this year nor next.
  11. Trust me Demario will be known... as a kid with a lot of hype and very little success. Before he is dubbed king and savior for Culleoka he needs to develop an outside shot, which he ain't got, and mature a little bit more, which will take time. If you want to see someone stop him, show up when they play either Moore Co. and/or Cascade. Both teams are not and will not be afraid of a FRESHMAN, and both know how to play solid defense.
  12. I love it. I think that it will put more stock in winning the region tourney and more of a tournament atmosphere in the 'Boro in the form of a Final Four no matter what classification, region, district, etc.... I give it thumb thumb
  13. Rumor is that Moore Co. is the front runners for followed closely by Eagleville and Forrest. Is this accurate? I think so. Moore Co. is good and will push to win the region title.
  14. There is a kid that no one is thinking about or considering. David Gallagher at Cascade. After 2 preseason games, he is averaging 17 pts, 12 reb., and 4 asst. per game. He is a solid 6'5" and 210 lbs. he will surprise folks.
