I think Beamer is going to stay at 152 because he probably has a better shot at sneaking in and placing in the state at that weight class. 160 is going to be a brutal weight class state wide. Is Bowman staying at 152? 171 is up in the air, Chizmar (E) beat Fair(SH), Fair beat Brunette (DB) and Burnette beat Chizmar. Also you have Perkins from Boone in the mix, and he has wrestled really well this year. 215 is very competitive with Henley, Kennedy, Garmer, Potter, Grecu and others that I probably left out. Regionals is a time where you have some people step up and some that step down. It does not matter if you got beat by the kid in the regular season, the tables can turn, and you can step up and win big matches. Feb is a brand new season.

Also Region 1 has at least 4 good 215 's, Henley Science Hill, Kennedy THS, Garmer Crockett, and Potter ELizabethton. These four could make some noise in Chattanooga.

The reason Elizabethton is not going to the sectional duals is that they have 9 wrestlers, giving up 30 points before the match starts, and they decided it would be better to go to an individual tourn. Elizabethton and Daniel Boone will be the only TN teams in the Magna Vista Va Inv. right outside of Martinsville Va. THere will be 2 teams from NC, 2 TN, 7-8 Va teams. It should be a good tourn.

I was suprised to see Lettner beat Brooks from Dickson Co. This will sure shake up the rankings next week. When Feb. rolls around it is a new season, and it does not matter if you are ranked or not, it only matters if you are wrestling on Sat. in Chattanooga.

Tyler Ross might stay at 130, he is having a hard time keeping his weight down. I think TD Artist that Greenback will be at the Fandetti Brawl also.

Yes, you do wrestle Elizabethton at Elizabethton on Tues. We are going to wrestle in the little gym so it will be crowded. We are looking forward to the Fandetti Brawl this weekend.

I totally agree about 215 being very competitive. THis is how I think you will seed 215, 1st Chip Reed Glenn (Ranked 2nd in 3A NC), 2nd Hall Marion (Placed 2nd GIT), 3rd Henley (3rd at 215 2004, beat Kenndy head to head), 4th Kennedy Regional Champion at 215 last year), 5th Potter (2nd in Region 189, 2nd at Smyrna, 6th at Bradley) and the rest I am not sure of. I am just guessing on how the seeds will go.

Hey Zeke, I saw where you all had 6 wrestlers, what has happened to all the kids at the beginning of the year. Will Wayne Smith be back to wrestle this year. I saw where Wheeler is back in the lineup and beat Mumpower that was a good win for him.

Elizabethton will be wrestling Crockett next Tues., they will wrestle SE and DB this Thurs.

I am not you, but I am an assistant coach. Those are going to be two key matches for top regional seeds. Elizabethton will wrestle Daniel Boone tonight it should be a close match with both teams being down in numbers this year.

I think Bo Usary will match up with Bundy. Usary tech Bundy over the summer at the Brands Best of the Best Duals in Brentwood. I know that was during the summer, but Bo is wrestling very well right now, I think is only two losses are to COrey Manson.

Garmer will wrestle Henley tonight, it should be a good match. ALso at 103 Crocketts kid vs. Usary. Will Williams wrestle Ramsey tonight?

What was the match score on the Henley - Kennedy Match. It suprised me that the Marion 215 made it to the finals.

Coach G, thanks for letting Elizabethton wrestle in your tourn. this year. The tourn was well run. It was good for us to see central Tn teams that we would not usually see unless at the State Tourn. We will be back next year. Hopefully you will be able to come to our tourn next year the 2nd weekend in Dec. Our tourn. will be a individual pool tourn. with teams from NC, VA, TN, Ky. Hey Zeke Jones, 125 was a pretty good weight class. Ross was the 6th seed, he beat the 3rd seed from Symrna in double overtime, he pinned the 2nd seed from Ravenswood, and pinned the 1st seed from Oakland in the finals. He had a really good tourn. Jones what happend at the GIT, I saw where you got 8th. Good luck the rest of the season.

Elizabethton wrestling gets alot more coverage in the Elizabethton Star than Science Hill does in the Johnson City Press. Science Hill might get a paragraph, while Elizabethton gets on the front page of the sports section and another page of the sports section. Science Hill has placed in the top 5 and top 10 the past 4 years and gets pitiful coverage. I know Elizabethton is not an accomplished program, but I am thankful that we get awesome coverage and a reporter who goes to our matches.

Kenny took 1st at 215, he beat the Elizabethton kid 8 - 0. Aaron Martin took second at 189 to the Spencer from Ravenswood.

I think Chris Gann from Wilson Central will have a good shot at winning this tournament at 215.

Who are some good indviduals at 160 and 215 that will be at the Dog Pound Invitational.

Sullivan CO. schools are talking about starting wrestling programs especially Sullivan South. I would like to see Carter Co. start a program.

When is the seeding meeting for the Dog Pound Invitational?

Van Horn, Woodford Co. Ky, Chattanooga Notre Dame, Franklin Road Academy, Marion Va has some good individuals, Sevier Co etc.

Is the Dog Pound Invitational a 16 man bracket double elimination tourn. or is it going to be 4 pools of 4. If you do the pool format each wrestler will at least get 3 matches out of there pool.
