The program I came from we won the league my freshman year. That is the only time we did and we had every weight class filled. Everyone on the team bought into the coaches philosophy. We did not have community support back then. I think we need to have bingo halls support wrestling programs. That would fund non faculty coaches full time all year around. We need no restrictions on wrestling in the offseason period. That is my oponion, you know what they say about that oponions are like ######s everyone has one.

There should be 10 weight classes like they do in college. They should up the 103 to like 110. 215 should be 225. Heavyweight should be unlimited again. Dream2achieve you are right they need to eliminate weight classes, we have talked about this, forfeits are killing the sport.

I think Science Hill is the team to beat in Region 1. They did an awesome job against top notch teams at the Fandetti-Richardson tourn. Teams from all over the area were there. It was good to see teams travel in to Freedom hall. I would like to see Christiansburg and Grundy come down even if it is B teams. I want to see Bradley wrestle in the Walsh Ironman sometime. I am looking forward to watching the Region duals at Science Hill. I just hope i don't get kicked out because i get to intense during matches. Just my thoughts. Go region 1. Just my thoughts.

Boone is wrestling Abingdon on Fri @ Boone and will be at Crockett on Sat. Boone has a young team.

I liked the dividing the wrestlers up on different mats. A lot of good wrestling. A nice warm-up tournament for the season.

Elizabethton might be looking for a coach?

So in the state tourn. a region champion can wrestle another region champion in the second round as opposed to the quarterfinals last year. Will the pairings in the first round be 1vs 3 2vs 2 1vs2 1vs 4. I am still confused on how they will pair the wrestlers.

The Sliger / Murray match was a good match. It was close Sliger winning 2-1 on a last minute reversal.

It still has to be settled on the mat. Rankings do not mean squat. Upsets happen all the time. Just like Roger Reina former Penn coach said, "Paper does not go out and wrestle".

I just wanted to say that Science Hill got a really good draw of the state duals. They have a really good chance to make it to the State dual finals. They will have to beat a tough Ootlewah/ Cleveland and Clarksville team. Bradley and Soddy are on the opposite side of the brackets which helps out also.

I say that after the state tourn. you get Reveiz to wrestle Coffey and settle it on the mat and quit talking about it.

In the Science Hill tourn. finals I was impressed by the Prescott on how he kept good position and he can really sramble.

Coach Shelton is top notch and if he is given an opportunity to be head coach there he will continue what Coach Price started at the Hill.
