  1. What Moore County did could be considered an act of vandalism, and is completely different than crying for 5 straight years that you can't beat Mt. Pleasant.
  2. Hey, being a fan from Mt. Pleasant I have to say that McKenzie had a great team. South Pit however was amazing. Please don't take anything from McKenzie though, they had a great year.
  3. It wasn't reliable. He is playing tonight against Summertown.
  4. Well, the way the talk is on here, it does sound like all McKenzie fans are saying it's going to be easy, which appears like you are overlooking us. No one from Mt. Pleasant has said anything about it being easy, but the majority of McKenzie fans posting are saying that Marco will get nothing. Someone said we would score 7, well, we haven't been held to that all year, just like yall haven't been held to 21. The same person that said that said that yall would score 42, which Mt. Pleasant hasn't given up. Yall seem to think that Mt. Pleasant is just saying that we are going to kill yall, but I promise you, no one has said that. However, many people have said that yall will kill us, so please don't say that we are overlooking anyone. I've seen some videos on the McKenzie website, and I'll tell you, yall look tough. I'm looking forward to a great game, which I feel will be a close one.
  5. Hey, you're not the only person that believes that. wuzMP63 swears by it. I do understand what you are saying though, and it makes since. But we'll just see how it goes down.
  6. And this years Mt. Pleasant is better than last year's Mt. Pleasant.
  7. Ok. I don't blame you either. There were a whole lot more people thinking Jo Byrns would win than Mt. Pleasant.
  8. But, without ever seeing Mt. Pleasant play, how would you know, which you said you did know, that Jo Byrns would win? Just cause McKenzie had problems with that style doesn't mean that MP does.
  9. Just curious, have you seen Mt. Pleasant play? If so, then you do have merit to your posts, but if not, how could you know they would beat us?
  10. I was just saying he needed to watch that run cause it was an incredible high school run. I wasn't saying that to say he was going to do it to yall, although I hope he does. I'll be honest, I haven't seen McKenzie play this year, so I can't decide who will win, but yall do sound really really good. I'm just saying Mt. Pleasant isn't that bad either.
  11. So all that sucking up to Jo Byrns that you were doing was just so you could play a team that you knew you could beat? Nice one. By the way, I like your comparisons, since you were so sure Jo Byrns would beat MP.
  12. He needs to check out the run he made in 06 against Jo Byrns. It was a 4th down, game on the line, and he literally broke about 7 tackles, and ran about 100 yards for that 30 yards run. Just thinking about it makes me want to watch that game again. Nice highlights.
  13. Ah, I see, I didn't realize the TCA stats had not been added. My bad. I can't wait for this game!
  14. Actually, Carr doesn't quite have 2,000 passing yards; close but not quite. Also, he has more like 350 yards rushing.
  15. OK, so our weaknesses have been tended to. Our strengths have gotten stronger. And the way that yall are talking, yall have no weaknesses whatsoever.
  16. Scrimmages count for nothing. Cascade supposedly killed us in our scrimmage over the summer, and look....WE'RE STILL PLAYING. Every team that we have played for the past 3 years has said they could stop Marco, and the closest that any team got was JCS. He still had 100 yards. And yes, he is better this year, as is the ENTIRE TEAM. McKenzie may win this game, but keep over looking the Tigers, and you will be shocked. Once again, scrimmages count for nothing. Kinda like the preseason in the NFL. No one has ever won a Super Bowl cause they won all of their Preseason games.
  17. Anyone could win on any giving night. That night, it just didn't happen. Mt. Pleasant has a chance to win this game. They are in the semi's for the second straight year. If you think yall can stop Marco yall are gonna be shocked when that game starts.
  18. Hey, don't get mad. You got on our thread and was talking trash, so someone came over here and said something. Yall had a good football team, and I was surprised yall lost. But don't get mad cause we made it further than yall.
  19. Care to update Marco's stats hwn you get a moment, wholder? Thanks.
  20. So they are correct. Thanks for telling me that. And also, when I reread my post, it seems as if I might have came off saying that Carr was no good. In no way am I saying that he is no good, or he is not as good as Spann. I just wanted to see the comparison.
  21. Sorry, you posted this as I was typing mine. That is a good point, but I am still curious on some stats, if you don't mind. But yes, I realize that there really aren't any common opponents, so it is hard to make comparisons, but still.
  22. Yeah, can someone give some stats for Carr and company? The Tennessean must be wrong, because it has Spann looking way better than Carr. According to The Tennessean... Spann has completed 153 of 210 passes, for 2,345 yards (cool number when you think about it) and 29 touchdowns. Carr has completed 106 of 190, for 1,840 yards and 15 touchdowns, and 1 2 point conversion. Are these correct? If so, Spann would have the better completion rating, better yard per pass and completion rating, and more yards and touchdowns. I am being honest when I say that I think these are incorrect. Can anyone shed any light? I am really curious.
  23. I guarantee you that Mt. Pleasant isn't overlooking yall at all. It does however sound as if McKenzie is overlooking us. I kind of like that actually. We overlooked Moore County and look what happened to us in that game. Also, it's 1A football people. The majority of teams have their go to player. I bet if you took Carr of the field McKenzie would be a different team to. I'm not saying that they wouldn't be good, but when you have a Mr. Football finalist in the backfield, of course he is going to be the difference maker.
  24. You're exactly right. Jo Byrns, who has held opponents to like 14 points a game probably, and 140 rushing yards, gave up 24 offensive points, and like 340 rushing yards to MP. Marco had like 263 rushing, and around 50 passing. That is one of the best defenses in the state. But, Mckenzie does seem like the real deal, so we'll have our hands full. But I have faith in these Tigers, and I know they will give 110% of more this week in practice, and Friday night.
