Is this not the people's board. As long as they are not doing anything that is wrong why should you be worried about what anybody is saying. This is supposed to be fun as well a way to support your local teams. If you dont like what is being said, then just dont read. I dont think it will against LV. They will have Guyear and Henegar. That should be enough. But to answer your question, I think Martin, Hargis, Bailey, and Brocks are still busy on Friday nights.

Marion will be the team until someone proves they can beat them. Three straight district championships, two region championships and two fling appearences in the last three years. Also won over a hundred games. I do think that the district will be more competitive this year. One last thing, Marion will move down next year which should help them even more. Never too early to talk about baseball.

I believe someone hit a nerve. I do think that names should not be mentioned on here. Also, I will respectfully disagree with you that there is some truth to what was eluded to. I wish David and Beth and their troops the best in their new home. I can only imagine how hard it has been the last couple of years, having to play all your games away from home.

Jasper Middle travels to Pikeville. Should be a good game. Any thoughts?

It was a good night for the Warriors from Jasper Middle School. They played well in their 15 minutes giving up only 26 yrds on 16 carries while gaining 147 yrds on just 9 carries. JMS wins 16-0. In the individual competitions the Warriors faired well too. Matt Zeman won the longest throw and punt while Jamey Ford won the fastest lineman. Good job guys, keep it up and stay hungry.

Grant was interested in the job at Whitwell. He did apply the first time it was posted when they hired Coach Pickett. They was of threw all those away when they hired him. As far as you beating Grant and the middle school, last year was the first time that G has lost to Whitwell in his career. Grant would of been the perfect fit for Whitwell. But I personally am a little selfish and for one is glad that Grant is still at Jasper Middle. He is great with the kids, he loves to coach and can coach the game, and he is also the football coach. I am glad he is still a Warrior. Now Heath is not a bad choice. He played for David and Steven. They both are good basketball coaches. David runs a little bit of everything( zone, man, press) and Roberts was slow it down patient offensivly and man on man on defense. IF Heath learned from that and takes what both coaches brought to the table, He will be just fine. Remember you dont have to be a good player to be a good coach. This guy up at Purdue a couple of years ago named Gene Keaty never played organized sports. And also there is this guy up in Knoxville named Pearl, who never even played basketball. He was a football guy. Give the kid a chance.

Teams were great, fields were very nice, and the umping was good with the exception of the group of idiots that called the Marion and Goodpasture game. Congratulations to all the winners. Congratulations to all the teams that made it to the fling. Good luck on a return trip next year.
