  1. Again, Please explain to us why you believe Millington Coaches don't care about there student/athletes?
  2. Where do you get that our coaches and faculty don't care about our students. Thats a serious accusation your making there. Not surprised coming from you but still very false. Don't worry though we don't think bad of the majority of WhiteHaven fans because of ones arrogance.
  3. BlackHavenSenator may I ask you what's your beef with Millington. Every comment you make toward the Trojans is cocky, sarcastic, arrogant or all the above. Why is that sir? Is it a personal grudge from way back that no one knows about or maybe a Whitehaven thing? Come to think of it kwc does the same thing. He's just a lot slicker at it, example: "Millington does it again serving notice to anybody who's paying attention." So what is it about Millington that get under y'all's skin? Let's talk about it guys, open up, don't hold all that hate in. It's not healthy.
  4. Millington vs Germantown 8/22/14 This is not a game highlight but more of a Millington Hype Highlight done for the school. So it doesn't show Germantown's positive highlights. But it's all I have right now. http://youtu.be/F3hkOSYLwQ0
  5. Game 1: Arlington Game 2: Millington Game 3: Mitchell Game 4: CBHS Game 5: Manassas Game 6: Ridgeway Game 7: SouthHaven Game 8: Oakland Game 9: Craigmont Game 10: ECS
  6. I'm I missing something here. CBHS playing West Memphis and Germantown?
  7. I believe they're about the same. But I'd have to go with White Station also due to the WH game weaking theirs slightly,,,,, just joking BHS,,,,They're both tough non-D schedules.
  8. I'd probably rethink them then because I'm usually good for 50 or 60% at best. lol Good luck anyway.
  9. Friday August 22, 2014 Game 1: Ridgeway Game 2: East Game 3: South Panola Game 4: MBA Game 5: Houston Game 6: St. George's Game 7: Millington Game 8: MUS Saturday August 23, 2014 Game 9: Whitehaven
  10. Does anyone have where the Jamboree's will be held and which teams are playing where?
  11. Both teams looked a little rusty as expected for a first scrimmage.. Millington's 1st offense score once while their 1st Def held Collierville's 1st Off scoreless. On the other hand Collierville's 2nd off score twice while holding Millington's 2nd Off scoreless. Collierville has some big boys up front on def. and was getting through Mill. O-line regularly but Mill. QB was very elusive, stay calm for the most part and done a pretty good job back there. Collierville's QB is a big boy. He's D1 size QB already and #21 just about caught everything thrown at him. Collierville also seemed to have very good speed and size on both sides of the ball. They were able to pick up several yards after the catch... #6 and #44 really stood out on Def for Millington. made a lot of tackles. Collierville's was a lot deeper than Millington. I really look for Millington's #44 to put up some huge numbers this year along with their Jr. QB. This is his third year as a starter and it really showed even in their 1st scrimmage.
  12. kwc I will be there and yes I'll post a update on how both teams are looking.
  13. Has anyone heard about the new semi Pro Football League that's starting up to allow young talented athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills and develop in areas for a chance at the Arena Football League, Canadian Football League and even NFL. Memphis will have a team in the league along with Mississppi and Arkansas. It appears to be a 9 on 9 format league.. Memphis' team kicks the season off Aug. 17 at Greenhill Stadium in Memphis. You can check out more information at www.themonstersgame.com/
  14. I know nothing about Dyer co. We handled Dyersburg fairly easy but it was a spring scrimmage so who knows come Aug. I'm hearing Bartlett is picking up a talented senior from Arlington that would no doubt be a huge contributor at QB but not sure that he's not going to sit out football this year and concentrate on baseball. Probably trying to protect that 92 mph fastball he has. In saying all that is why I asked about Arlingtons QB situation in a earlier comment. Arlington lost a lot to graduation this year but they are always loaded so I'm sure this year will be no different. Sorry I don't have more for you but I just haven't kept up with it as much this year,,yet. Sounds like Whitehaven is ready to make another run at Maryville this year. Good luck to y'all
  15. kwc, I do believe Millington will reload this year better than I thought. East beat us in the first rd last year by 5 in a great competive game. And from what you said about them bringing back most of that team they could be dangerous. They'll make a deep run in the post season. I'm not sure if this is the year for Melrose but they are definitely headed back to the top with their program. Ridgeway is always a top preseason pick and they've been knocking on that State Titles door the last few years. They will be up there but I believe East is the better team this year.
  16. What little I have seen this spring Millington has looked fairly experienced. They had a scrimmage against Dyersburg and Houston and handled both rather well. The QB Rob_M is talking about is Eldon Tymes. He got some starting time as a freshman due to Millington's 1 & 2 QBs going down to injuries early in the 2012 season. He was the starter in 2013 as a sophomore and did very well. So this is his third year starting and he's a Jr. He scored several TDs a variety of ways last year and in the 2 spring games this year. They have a senior LB Patrick Macon that has been recording double digit tackles almost every game since his sophomore year and I personally think he will have his best year this year if he keeps his head on straight. WR Damarius Curry is small in size but has that big time play ability every time he touches the ball and I look for him to contribute big this year. The OLine is where Millington has been weak the last couple of years and that has seemed to have gotten some size to it this year. The coaches and players may not agree with this analysis but this is all just my opinion from what I've seen through spring practice and scrimmage.
  17. The Shelby Co Schools zoning map had the former 9th & 10th graders from Millington HS going to the new Woodstock High School. The 11th & 12th graders from Millington going to Bolton along with the Waverly plantation kids. Recently the 11th & 12th graders from Northaven and Shelby Forest area have been removed from the zoning map. So does anyone know are they still going to Bolton? Also does the 9th and 10th graders getting bused to Woodstock not get a opportunity to play sports since Woodstock doesn't have a sports program yet? I'm sure no one on here knows the answer to this but just thought I'd throw it out there. Here's the SCS revised zoning maps http://www.scsk12.org/uf/news/viewrelease.php?id=238
  18. Who has the scoop on Arlington this year? Who will be their QB? I believe Sheffield graduated and I'm sure they have a playmaker to take over for him but just haven't heard.
  19. As I respect yours also. My opinion is mainly that I can understand out of town teams being concerned and looking out for the best interest of their children. I live in memphis so my experiences are based on being there in person or watching the local news on a weekly basis. Good luck to every team this year, have fun and be safe.
  20. BIGPURPLEMACHINE, That's exactly what I said. Inside most of the programs are great and look after everyone. But Don't fool yourself. YES it happens at football games!!! maybe not inside. Every year their are several games that draw media attention for gun fire outside the stadium causing great concern for everyone inside, especially out of town opponents that have never experienced that kind of atmosphere. There has even been some that were canceled and/or postponed because of violence occurring during a game or even the week of a game. Again the Schools are great at doing what they can to make everyone comfortable but that only goes so far.
  21. I don't believe anyone on here is stereotyping any school, players, coaches or staff, but yes probably guilty of stereotyping the areas and or communities. I feel that teams choosing not to come to play in parts of Memphis has nothing to do with most of the teams/players/coaches/fans of the schools, but more of the area in which some of the schools reside in. Whitehaven has proven time and time again that they run a top notch classy program. It's when you are leaving the premises or area that the chance of getting harassed or confronted by someone that has nothing to do with the school or maybe not even the community is highly likely. The percentage of this happening usually rises the longer the opponent hangs around, especially if they win. This can happen anywhere as I witnessed first hand last year after the Millington/ Brighton game at Brighton High. The fact is though that if you were honest with yourself and was told this kind of thing happened at a game last night and the only two games on the schedule were Mt. Juilet @ Whitehaven & Milan@ Bartlett 90% would assume it happened at the MJ/WH game. So I don't believe there is any disrespect to most Memphis programs but there are some areas that KWC, BHS, me, or anyone would not hang around on a friday night if given a choice to go somewhere else. NOTE:: If your not from the Shelby Co. area you probably don't know exactly where these boundaries may lie.. I really hope this isn't taken offensively by anyone JMO
  22. I thought this was a Shelby County Pre-Season thread but all I'm reading about is one team. Is that all that's in Shelby Co after the school shake up?
  23. NavyChief I really doubt that happens but that has nothing to do with whether you'll remember them or not. lol
