Well obviously it shows that you have no idea what you are talking about. As a former player and assistant of his, you have no idea how hard he works or how much he invest in his team. Because he is not acting like an idiot on the side when his kids are playing doesn't mean he doesn't have passion for the game or for his team. Also, He does not coach for a paycheck, he and his wife have been very successful without that massive 6% paycheck for coaching.

Does anyone know of any middle school bowl games. We are in a 3 way tie for 1st in our conference and it looks like the tie breaker may not make it. If you know of any please let me know at Richard.ritz@lcfalcons.net it will be greatly appreciated.

I am also looking to find middle school bowl games. We are currently in a 3 way tie for first in our conference. It looks as though the 4th tie breaker(points allowed head to head) will keep us out. We have a group of kids that really deserve a chance to play postseason football.

The turn out was amazing. I've had a lot say they are definitely in next year. Maybe even some big surprises. The basketball alumni game is on May 22 at Gleason. It was good last year with very little publicity but hope it's bigger this year. It's also a fund raiser for Jonathan West's little girl to help pay for her medical expenses for her surgery.

If that would have been a Sunday game, I would have most certainly used that sick day.LOL. Im actually feeling pretty good today with just a few bumps and bruises. Its only been about 12 years since I was in full pads and I made a couple of plays. Starting to remember why I chose basketball. You gotta pay for your boy to play next year and You and I both know that it wouldn't be a real Dresden Vs Westview game if they didn't have a ref in their pocket. JK. This is such a great fund raiser and I cannot wait until we do it again.

Well just let him know if he changes his mind, he can still sign up. The cut off is tomorrow night at 9pm. We are meeting up at the field for a last minute get together. We got McPeak talked in so it would be fun.

Dresden High School and Westview High School are having its first ever Alumni Football game to help raise money for BOTH schools football program. Tickets are $10 each and if you buy them in advance the school in which you purchase from gets half the ticket money. I wanted to reach out on here and invite as many alumni out to watch, play and enjoy this event. If you are an alumni, come out and meet the young men that will be representing your school or If you just want to come out and watch some of your old favorites. I think that it will be filmed. I do not know if anyone is posting it. If you have not purchased your tickets yet, I will have some here at the high school. I also know that some local businesses have them although I am not sure which ones. YSO, I was really hoping your boy(I know which is yours) was going to play. I really miss having him around and I think it would be something he would enjoy doing.

We are almost 2 weeks away from the game and we have lots of tickets left. Remember if you buy at the gate neither school gets the money. Also if any former lions want to play, we still have room on the roster.

They are going great. We have a solid core group of 18 or 19 that show every week. Some guys have really put the work in to get ready for the game. Should be fun to watch.

Yes they are. TJ and the rest of the alumni at Westview are doing great things for this event. Coach Rang, Debbie Moran and a lot of others here at Dresden are putting in a lot of work. Thank you all for the advice. I have learned the "who you know" is very true and I have tried making connections. My principal/AD has been great by sending references and helping out with those type of things. I have interview for multiple jobs and it seems that I get to a second and third interview most of the time. I just always get beat out by a coach with years of experience. thanks again everyone.

I've wondered this for a while. I graduated college in 2013 and have 4 years experience coaching at the high school level as an assistant. I was on staff at a D1 school (2yrs as a manager, 1 as a student assistant). I keep getting the we want someone with more experience. i am certified in health,pe, and drivers Ed and cannot get a job in the district in which I coach bc none of them are leaving. Sadly I cannot even get a job somewhere without coaching. Any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong?

classic mckenzie cant understand a COMPLIMENT..He said stop the run game for 3 qts. McKenzie scored on long PASS plays...The post never mention the offense doing anything against the D. Huntingdon has been playing good, mckenzie is just a better team. As for this game, it will be more evenly matched and i feel that the Defensive line of Huntingdon will rebound after a rough game last week. The only real issue is the pass defense or lack of pass defense.

also Union City will not lose to Bruceton. Great story that Bruceton made the playoffs, but they will not get through UC. I do understand alot of you guys know nothing about west tenn football and thats fine but that will not happen.

For those who are picking SF over Huntingdon...SF over West Carroll 25-8. Huntingdon over West Carroll 42-0 Starters set half the 3rd and all the 4th Qt. SF over Gleason 28-12. Huntingdon over Gleason 48-14 starters set entire 4th Qt. Not discrediting SF at all but dont let the records set your standards. Huntingdon only scheduled 1 single A team out of there district and that was UC. Huntingdon played Camden, Milan, Westview, Dyer County with Dresden and McKenzie in the District. 2 of SF wins came against bad KY teams and lost to a Greenfield team that was not very good.

As for the play, just tellin ya what i was told, sorry you disagree but that is what was said. Im not from huntingdon and was just there as a spectator. I do know that when I was in HS(not at Huntingdon for the record), McKenzie acted the same way with us, just thought it was a trend and as i said, its a few but enough that is noticable.

first, officials were from memphis. The way i was explained that play at half is they blew the whistle illegal formation and offsides. Penalty offset replay down. McKenzie beat Huntingdon because of a poor game plan. How do you change your defense from 4 down lineman to 5 to stop a team that can pass when your pass defense is poor at best. I know alot of those kids on Huntingdon and they played hard but it starts at the top. As for McKenzie needing class, yes they seem to have a FEW people that are very poor sportsman. If post yourself on the opposing teams statue after a game you have no class.

No I agree Last nights officials were probably the most embarrassing display of officiating I have seen in years. I saw about 5 misssed facemask calls in the second half alone. Then at the end that ticky tack personal foul with 30 secs left. I know that there is holding on every play. But I saw times when both teams would turn the defense completely around. Even though I dont feel the outcome was changed either way, it was equally terrible and they should be RETRAINED. I also wonder why are Tennessee officials some of the most out of shape officials I have ever seen. Texas, Mississippi and Arkansas officails seem to be in much better shape than any here in Tennessee. Might be a reason for the awful display.
