  1. No idea sport, but then I'm not the one making definitive statements either am I? But since "someone said" attendance is down, I guess that's all the proof you need. I'd love to try and respond to this for you: And what is the best part venue wise is the Ag Center for all those young wrestlers that will be graced by its presence this weekend? But I guess my Mid-TN reading comprehension must be kicking in again. Are you able to translate from East TN to English for me?
  2. So you haven't seen that balance sheet then???? I just assumed that w/all the definitive statements on profitability and investment that these were folks speaking from first hand knowledge and not a bunch of blowhards. But I'm sure you're all event planners at least right?
  3. Except there is no additional revenue once you pay for venue costs - thus taking money out of the sport.
  4. So to sum up..... A couple of whiny Chattanooga Dads: "Waaaaahhhhhh, the tournament is now in almost the exact center of the state central to everyone instead of my backyard."
  5. How are the site lines for video taping at those various venues?
  6. Delrico Bowen @ 138 seems a bit of a snub as he beat out a wrestler previously listed - esp. when you've a freshman that's lost 4 of his last 7 instead
  7. So I'm guessing the young man you're bashing online is about 17. And exactly how old are you?
  8. Out of curiosity, what are you basing that statement on? When we installed background checks in our district, we found several individuals that had volunteered previously, but their past backgrounds left them unsuitable to be alone and unsupervised around students.
  9. Nashville Catholic is the only team I can think of, but not sure if that's open membership or only for students at Father Ryan. There's three programs further South in Williamson County. Williamson County Wrestling Club - practices at Centennial High School Copperhead Wrestling Club - practices at Brentwood High School Regulators Wrestling Club - practices at Independence High School All seem to be fairly well run clubs. My son is with WCWC and the two head coaches are outstanding. Twin brothers from Ohio who coached at St. Eds where the program won several state championships and even some national championships. They're very disciplined and push the kids to work hard, but extremely patient and excellent teachers of the sport.
  10. You might want to try giving Dr. Shrader at Centennial High School in nearby Franklin a call. His sons are both wrestlers and had been actively looking for someone to takeover the program this Summer.
