I went to see what TSSAA says about tie breakers and there isn't anything addressed about this, not surprised. SO, those teams that have run 18-0, 17-0 have done the right thing here (sarcastic). I would hope there is a goal maximum when it comes to tie breakers (ie max 3 per game). This would not help the Germantown team as I see they haven't scored much this year anyway. I have always heard and do believe, that defense wins championships. I will be interested to see the out come of the Houston and Germantown game.

I guess I'm a "newbee" but I logged in to see who made the All Tournament Team for this tournament and I see 4 pages of folks batting back and forth about were a girl plays club ball. At best it was funny, at worst sad, that, "and I'm guessing here", adults would write this stuff. I think I may check my daughters Facebook page to see more intelligent conversation. Thanks for the entertainment.

As a parent of a TN High School player with above average interest in girls soccer, I feel like we saw some good soccer in the Katie Hunter Tournament this year. I watched more games than just my daughters team. IMO There were 6-7 good teams, 1 above average team in St Agnes, and 1 team that was head and shoulders above them all in Houston. Houston over the last 8 years has been a thorn in the side of other west TN teams, but this year they have ALL the makings of a major championship team. I know I haven't seen but a handful of the really good teams in the state, but I would like to see any team take on Houston HS. My daughter is NOT on this team, we are one of the teams in the west removing the thorn each year. Coach Wolf has them locked and loader this year.

Germantown HS extends its tie streak to 4 by taking Greenwood from KY to a 0-0 tie. Great defense and some amazing horizontal goalkeeping made for an exciting game. Houston won 9-0 over Roane Co. Good soccer in Oak Ridge this weekend.
