  1. I agree with you on Huesman. I was at the BGA/Baylor game and was totally impressed with his play. Great recognition to a first year D2 player. Good luck to Baylor against MUS...I think MUS wins but Baylor will keep it close.
  2. Should be a good game. My prediction is: Baylor 28 Father Ryan 17
  3. If it just me? It just seems to take away from earning the playoffs when everyone qualifies. A team that is 5-5 or 4-6 or worse goes to the playoffs. Great for the teams that have had bad years...but it just seems to take away from playoffs when everyone goes. Just my 2 cents.
  4. I do remember a few of yours posts getting on others for coming across just the way you do....sarcastic. That is probably why you get called out alot....you can dish it out but not take it. As for hoping that every opposing coach is livid after playing McCallie....we all hope that for our school But, I would think that McCallie's coach has been livid alot this year at you know.....Baylor, BGA, MBA, Father Ryan and Ensworth.
  5. Look out kitty-cats?? Wow, don't get your hopes up, cause you may be back on suicide watch... Well bluemom...I sincerely hope you are not on suicide watch after this game. Doubt it since the Baylor game is "your game" game and the Blue lost soundly to Baylor...BUT....the "kitty cats" as you called us soundly defeated your little tornado....and soundly I might add.....17-7. I never rub in a score unless prompted....and I guess your comments prompted me on this one....you know the "kitty cats will be blown away by the tornado....really? again BGA 17 Little tornado 7!
  6. Look out kitty-cats?? Wow, don't get your hopes up, cause you may be back on suicide watch... I'm right here with you bigblue128. Calling BGA the kitty-cats is pretty bold and bluemoms predictions have not been very good. I appreciate the enthusiasm for her team....we all have it for our team but sometimes it is best to not be as brash. She called several times and on several threads about how McCallie would extend the streak against Baylor....and well you know how that turned out. So to take a page from her book (calling BGA kitty-cats) against Baylor they were far from a tornado..... they were more like a little puff of wind. So look out "puff of wind" the Cats are really looking forward to playing you. Go Cats!
  7. tornadofan10...your prediction of winning by 18 makes me feel good. Judging from your past predictions your track record is not very good. You predicted big wins over Baylor, Ensworth and MBA and we know how those turned out. At least you are consistant even if it is in an arrogant way.
  8. Bluemom do you really think McCallie will beat BGA by 24 points? I know as fans we always predict our teams to win....but 24 points is a bold prediction and I certainly hope you are wrong. Judging by common opponents that BGA and McCallie have had I don't think it will be a runaway like you do. Both BGA and McCallie have played Baylor and both teams got defeated soundly by the Red Raiders. Both BGA and McCallie have played MBA. McCallie lost to MBA but in a very close game. BGA pulled off a big upset over MBA in a stunner. So, I may be wrong but I don't see a blowout...if it is one I hope it is BGA with the big win. So my prediction is..... BGA 28 McCallie 21
  9. When BGA played Baylor it was not really even much of a game. Baylor was very tough on offense and defense and pretty much beat us soundly. They also laid it on McCallie last week and beat them soundly. I think the MBA game for Baylor was just a sloppy game where they shoot themselves in the foot with turnovers that led to MBA points and kept Baylor from scoring. BA has not had a typical BA year but they are still a very good football team for sure. Last week had to be a heartbreaker for BA coming so close against Ensworth. But Potter will have them ready this week as he will not want to lose to a team he knows so well in Baylor. This one is hard to predict so I think Baylor will pull it out in a close one. Baylor 24 BA 21
  10. This should be a great game. BA played Ensworth very tough last week in a losing battle. But BA is always a very good sound football team. Baylor is coming off a convincing win over McCallie and is 5-1 on the year. If BGA was not playing the same night...I would like to see this game because it should be a good one. Predictions and thoughts?
  11. BGA hosts McCallie this week. After a dismal start to the season... BGA traveled to MBA to pull off a stunning defeat of MBA. McCallie is coming into BGA after being soundly defeated by Baylor. Predictions or thoughts on this game?
  12. Congratulations Baylor. I picked you guys to win. I was impressed with your team when BGA played you earlier this year. I don't think your real team showed up at MBA....that happens sometimes. Well, just wanted to say "way to go on a very sound win over McCallie!"
  13. Wow.....way to go BGA! I think we shocked a few folks tonight including myself. Just a great win for the Cats. Wish I could have been there!
  14. Greatest rivalry indeed! I can't imagine any interest beyond Dunlap in these two mules fighting over a turnip. If it were being played in my backyard, I'd close the curtains. Just kidding...I'd actually enjoy seeing this one, and I think Baylor's campus is beautiful (although I last saw it in '79). I'm afraid, though, if I had to pick, I'd have to go with McCallie. I've only seen each team once (against MBA), but I thought McCallie had the better team. I'm skeptical of any offense that can't score on MBA this year. And in a close game (as most are predicting, and justifiably so, I would think), kicking becomes very important. Does Baylor have any real kicking game? And the comments made earlier that Baylor knows they can win and isn't at all daunted by the streak seem to me to be whistling past the cemetery. Baylor last won this one when their seniors were in first grade. In my mind, that makes it imperative that Baylor succeed at something early on. A two touchdown lead for McCallie in the first half would probably be insurmountable. Alternatively, I suspect there's a lot of pressure on McCallie. I'd hate to be part of the first team to lose to our archrival in over decade. That's the kind of thing that's remembered in a not so joking manner at class reunions for a long time. Best of luck to both teams on a good game. I can't share your wishes, though, for good weather. I'm a big fan of football in the mud. Or has Baylor gone over to the darkside as well and gotten a carpet? I was at the BGA and Baylor game a few weeks ago. And yes, they have a brand new carpet this year. Looked amazing so I don't guess they will have to worry about mud. Beautiful setting for a game.
