I must agree with Milo! No one (it is two words) is going to put alot of ponits on the Smyrna defense. These are not your ordinary 16 and 17 year olds. This team is full of super strong 5th year seniors. I am not sure when the red shirt program starts a Smyrna but it’s early. My son who graduated last year had several of these Bulldogs in his fist grade class. Watch out this group may have trouble with calculus but they smash an offensive line to pieces.

I just love to bash the Falcons mainly because I grew up there and still have a lot of family there. Just fun seeing the 'Little Burro" kick the tail of many of my former freinds, neighbors and classmates. (I know that Blackman has won a least 4-5 games in a row now hard to keep count.) And NO! I will not be coming back for a class reunion or the Lincoln County Fair. (the bigger and better fair) Will be at Honeys for lunch this Thursday. But Doubleshot you are still a LOSER!

I have asked around and I'm really don't think so. However did hear something about some of the Asst. Coaches and/or staff receiving some threats. The kind that gets the whole family upset. This may be where some Coaches/staff are giving some second thought to things.

Went over to Franklin today to watch practice. I think I got some pretty good tape hard to tell just yet with it getting dark. I’ll know later when I put it together. QB looked good, big/strong nice arm. Offensive formations are very flexible would not be surprised to see a gadget run. But on defense, the Rebels looked as if they are planning to stop the run. A lot of guys up front. I’ll set you guys up when I get it all together. No real surprises, Blaze should roll.

Dear Rip Van Winkle, Wake up from your nap. This is 2010, different players – different teams. That was SIX years ago. Did Cokers run for 2070 yards in a ten game season? Don’t know just asking. Trust me, Mathers is no Cokers, good kid, hard working, non-dope smoking, the real deal. Many have tried to derail the I-Train, many have failed.

If a big crow is expected, arrive early. Traffic can back-up and some have been known to miss the 1st Qtr. sitting in thier cars. Also, pack a snack. After the game it may take a while to get back out on the road. Other than that, Riverdale High is a GREAT place for a High School game.

Good Job! I would like to add another part of Blackman's 2010 team 9. Special Teams: Special is the correct word. Kicker has a D1 future. On kick offs this season he has sailed the ball into the end zone on approx: 95% of all kicks. Be ready to start from your 20yd line. He can also BOOM punts, although he really has not had to punt very much this year he has great hang & distance. Most team choose not to kick deep to #4. These short kicks are taken by the up men and they have some speed on returns for great starting field posistion. Punt returns #19 & #4 are sure handed burners that can take it to the house. Extra points - I can only recall the kicker missig only one in two years that is pretty darn good with the number of attemps over the last two seasons.

What will Franklin think is a "reasonable Yards" total for #4. Is the over/under going to be 200yds?

Dear Uncle Rico, Yes I agree, you could have won State if the coach would have put you in. Keep selling that Tupperware, I know you will go far. BRING me some chap stick – MY LIPS HURT REAL BAD! Napoleon I feel very sorry for the Oakland Players if this will be one of the top highlights of their life. Sure to bond with team mates is great. Making friendships that will last a life time…Hey I get all that. But really….? I would hope that Oakland High School is preparing these young men to aspire to greater heights. How about the feeling you get when you walk across that stage decked out in a Cap & Gown and get handed your College Diploma. Getting handed the keys to your first house; seeing the glow of you future wife as she walks down the aisle at your wedding………. Keep your eyes on the big picture, the football season has ended, but the real “Game†is still within reach.
