Farewell Doubleshot. So much for that deep run in the playoffs. I waited all year for you to tell me 'I told you so". You turned out to be a big chicken. Many Rutherford County Followers have done a lot of head scratching about the brackets. (Including myself.) But what done is done. After sitting back and thinking about it a little, I think I like the way things turned out. If you are Blackman, Oakland or Symrna you got to be happy. The team that makes it out alive should be battle tested and have the confidence to bring it all home. The goal is to win it all, not just to say a team made it to the 1st or 2nd.......round. How many of the other 63 in the 6A playoff did LC face this year? What was the Falcoons record against those teams?

The Field is in great shape. No bad wear, plays that gained big took away from a trench battle.

I hear it is really, really hard beating a team twice in the same season. (see: Blackman - Riverdale last year or Smyrna - Riverdale from the State Champ. Year and many more...) Looks as if Smyrna might need to do this feat a couple or more times to reach the top. Up Hill, Yes this quad is wicked, but as a Blackman fan I say - You have to beat the best to be the best. The winner of this quad should really be the BEST. Quad two winner for STATE!
