  1. Chaz will be a 20/20 guy and barely see any floor time this season unless an injury was to happen to Hopson, Quarles, or Anderson. When Thornton's elbow heels, he might play ahead of Chaz as well. Sorry, I forgot about him.
  2. The football team? what are you talking about?? The ball team here only has 3 football players on it in Quarles, Anderson, and Mashburn. Morrison, McNeese, and Ottinger all left the team. Losing to South Greene was just because they flat out played better then us. Scott is pretty nasty. Plus, SG didn't have Shuff which could have made the loss even worse. Greeneville doesn't have any depth or at least coach d won't use it and we are struggling in the PG department which Willie will for sure help. No one is saying anything about football. Their all back now but thats not gonna make much of a difference. As the season progresses though...the Greene Devils will get better and end up winning the conference. Bill Duncan is no doubt the best coach in the conference and will have them getting better every single day in practice.
  3. I'm honestly not sure. He is really athletic but not really a star basketball player. He's learning the offence currently with the JV squad. but he'll definitely help out either starting or giving Taylor a breather when he gets tired. Shout out to Ryan Roberts of West Greene. The former 6th man for the GHS JV played very well against Greeneville Friday and as bummed as I was to see us lose, I was glad to see the "Birdman" play his heart out and come out with a huge win.
  4. I caught that on WGRV too, thought I heard something about Cocke County, but not sure. Didn't hear name. yes greeneville has a transfer pg who is ineligible for now, but Im not sure what his name is. William Carmichael is the transfer to Greeneville but we're not 100% sure about his eligiblity for this season. He is a Junior who played at Cocke Co. last season and began this year at a school in NC.
  5. South Greene and Greeneville will decide the conference outcome. South Greene might have one of the most talented teams in the State while it'll be interesting to see how Greeneville plays without Nicole. But Bri and Morgan will be playing for state as they end their careers at Greeneville while Rainey and Chandler will have to play huge parts if Greeneville has any chance to take this conference. I actually like Greeneville to win the conference but its gonna be awesome to watch.
  6. Matt Olson of Greeneville High School. Bowled a 300 at the State Tourney. Avg. like a 274 this season. he's pretty sick.
  7. Greeneville is actually recruitless this year but I still look for us to be strong. With Quarles, Anderson, Hopson, and the sharp shooting Everhart...we're gonna be hard to stop. But I really look at Chuckey-Doak to make it difficult. The trio of Fezell-Harris-Moore will be hard for anyone to stop including the great greeneville defense. South and West Greene will struggle this year while rebuilding after losing many starters from last year. I've heard Grainger looks okay but I look for it to come down to the Greene Devils and Black Knights. The Rivalry is back!
  8. Chaz is for sure playing. He wouldn't miss this game for the world...as for the game: Our student section plans on bringing all the regulars on a 3 hour road trip to Red Bank where we are STOCKED to actually see a good football game. Don't get me wrong, we love winning! but I'm so excited to see a hard fought game between two amazing football teams. We all know how great Red Bank is but people are underestimating Greeneville because of who we've played but I'm telling ya...we're for real. All this talk about how much better Red Bank is then us brings back memories of Sullivan South last year. I can see this game going the same way! My prediction Greeneville 34-30. GO GREENE DEVILS!
  9. For real! SG has no room what so ever to say anything about greeneville and if west greene can survive NG, they'll get their whoopin next week! But for now lets keep this to greeneville and tenn high. As for the game, I don't why everyone is so down on greeneville cause of injuries. I mean, no matter what our best guys will be ready to go friday night and I don't care who or how tenn high has won, their a very good team. BUT...there's no way they can come into OUR house and come out with a victory. And that great offense of ths is about to meet its maker when it clashes with one of the best defenses in all of east tn. So i say enough talk...time to put up or shut up...LETS GO GREENE DEVILS!!
  10. No one said Tenn. High was SG and no one said GHS would win by 30. I still say Greeneville has the upper hand from their Home Field Advantage. There's no way Tenn. High can come to Greeneville and bring this team down. After the SG game, everyone's spirits are high and ready to get a nice winning streak going. Day by Day the team is getting more guys back from injury and we'll have our best guys on the field come Friday Night.
