  1. Pretty decent game. Milan's fumbles were tough but the Alcoa O/D line dominated this game. Milan's defense held strong, but it was too much F5 and not enough Milan game plan to make them get away from their strengths. Alcoa's D line and linebackers put pressure on everything Milan was trying to do. I would have like to see Milan pass a little more in non-passing situations as that seemed to be open. However, when F5 knew it was coming, they shut it down. Alcoa's fundamentals were excellent from everyone that took the field. Congratulations to both squads for excellent years. The best team won.
  2. I know the championship games just started today, but who will be there in 2010? Who has a tough re-building year? Who is loaded and can't wait to hit the weights and get back on the field in August? What are the big match-ups?
  3. How will 3A stack up next year. I would imagine Alcoa will be just as good. Milan is losing alot but they have alot of good but inexperienced players. McMinn Central is losing alot and it looks like a rebuilding year. York? Camden? CAK? Loudon? Polk? Betsy?AE? SC? Any sleepers? This may make for a new thread but I thought we could at least put what we thought in this one.
  4. [quote="REBELRON If Alcoa does have a weakness it is pass defense. Maryville had some success against them. Maryville had receivers wide open all game long. Trouble is you have to block that Alcoa front. Maryville had trouble blocking Darrell Warren and Tyler Robinson. Those boys do have hilacious bull rushes. Milan will definitely need help from the backs in pass protection. Get it out of there quick to because them boys are tall and can bat it down
  5. Sorry, but York would have probably beaten Central, but probably not Polk. Central and York had the same problem with depth, but York is more talented. I'm a Central fan, therefore I can say this. If Polk can beat S. Pittsburg, then you better bet they are pretty good. Polk just got outgame planned in there loss to Loudon.
  6. You got about 20 kids (probably fewer) that get any sweat/grass stains at all on their uniform unless it is mop up duty. We are probably close to that with each class being about 20 deep. Your debate is the 95 is better than 66. Who cares? The on field product would not change one bit. The difference is that you got about 30 something kids that would be better off buying a ticket and learning to play in your band (it could use some help).
  7. Absolutely correct. If Alcoa holds on to the ball and converts the 3rd downs like they did last year, Milan is probably in trouble. Milan has to find a way to get off the field on D and stay on the field on O. Hopefully a turnover will help our cause.
  8. I really do love this thread. All the pictures. The smack talk. The two teams fans going back and forth. Trolls that wish their season wasn't over getting on here and trying to extend the season. Oh well, come Saturday it will all be over and we have to wait for another season to roll in. I truly appreciate the opportunity to read about all the different teams and get to participate. Thanks CoachT.com I am sure hoping for a good game. I would be interested to know what kind of teams each of these programs will have next year. Trolls please feel free to let everybody know what you guys will have next year as well.
  9. I'll be your huckleberry. You guys are rated #42... even better. Looks that much better for us when you fall. You guys have a good team and have had for quiet some time. Maryville is also good. But like everything else, all good things must come to end. Loudon isn't that great, CAK isn't that great. They are good, but not great. East TN football in general isn't great. Your successes over the past few years have been better than Milan for several years, but there was a time not very long ago that the Milan area had several teams in the top ten in multiple classifications. And the last time I checked Maryville got beat last year. So you just keep playing with your pistols. We are taking dead aim.
  10. Healthy Tyler Robinson > Banged up Christian Coleman. I was looking forward to seeing these two play at a high level but anyone who has played much ball understands the issues with playing a power position with a bum ankle. CC has had rotten luck this year with injuries from cheap shots. I hope his injury is not as bad as I imagine.
  11. what about your cb/wr #15? he looks pretty tough but doesn't he see the field alot.
