  1. Anyone know the status of the injured RBS player?
  2. "ghetto"? Very mature of you. I have been through Morgan County several times and it is beautiful. Yes Sunbright did beat JC last year. JC started off slow, probably because of the "playing that far from home". Sunbright jumped out to a 14-0 lead, late in the game the score was 21-14, JC had a chance, but the Sunbright QB made some big plays and SB won the game 28-14 (I may be off a point or two). It was a ballgame til the final bell. But that was Last Year. Last night the bell sounded on the opening kickoff as #6 took it for a touchdown. He ran the ball well, ended with two td's, an interception and fumble recovery. He never touched the ball in the second half, he didn't need to. JC did not play a couple of their key offensive players in the second half. I will agree after the 1st quarter, Sunbright played hard and credit to their players. JC became content with the score and played some sloppy football. I will never compare JC with Trousdale, Friendship, or Gordonsville. Those programs are where many small high school football teams want to be. And maybe somedway JC can have a successful season like those schools have had. I would like to see Sunbright face them as JC will on back to back to back games. Now on to Richland.
  3. Nice win for JC. 40-12. It was 34-0 at the end of the first quarter. Both teams played a little sloppy the rest of the way. JC seemed to try to keep its players healthy. Credit to Sunbright for not quitting after a very slow start to the game.
  4. Yes it was a good night. The last three games JC never showed up. Tonight they played competitive football for about 3 and half quarters. Disappointed that the wheels came off down the stretch. Jackson Co. is working to get to the level that FCS is one. Every Friday night is a good night, whether theres a football game or not.
  5. Read it again, never said they would beat FCS...just think it will be better game than the last 3 meetings.
  6. Jackson County will give FCS a game tonight. JC will finally play a competitive game. I got a feeling that tonights gonna be a good night, woo hoo. (the Black Eyed Pea song keeps going through my head).
  7. I know this isn't the match up JC was looking for. But finishing 4th in the region, a 6-4 record, and a 2nd straight year in the playoffs is a great season for JC. Can they play a competitive game against an upper tier team?
  8. A very balanced attack by the JC offense tonight, with many plays out of the I formation. A lot of long offensive series. Great play by #6, running down the Watertown qb, after a 60 yard run, caught him from behind on the 10. This was about with 7~8 minutes to go in the 4th. JC's defense kept them out. Goes to show, you should never quit on a play. That long run for Watertown was their only second half offense. JC finally played a solid 4 quarter game. Hats off to Watertown for playing hard as well. A great executed short kickoff and recovery by JC tonight. You had to see to appreciate it. JC has pulled this one off several times this year. Having a quick, aggressive player like #14 really helps, plus the kicker has a good kicking touch.
  9. Both teams have won the region games they were suppose to win and of course were beaten up by the top three teams. This game is for playoff seeding I believe. A win for JC would be big. They have proven last year and this year that they can win region games, but have yet to beat Watertown. Hard to believe it is the last wk of the regular season.
  10. How many kids are out for PC this year? And are the girls still playing? Give those kids credit. Last yr. by wk 9 they were down to 13 players, two of them girls, but they played hard.
  11. I can't speak for teams 1-8, but I have seen Sunbright play and Gordonsville play. Gordonsville would mercy rule Sunbright easily. (both have played Jackson County). Sunbright does have decent squad.
  12. The last couple JC & RBS games have been close. Which team can put 4 quarters together and get a victory?
  13. Jackson Co. had all the momentum. They stop CC on the opening series of the third qt, then JC fumbles the punt. JC did not respond on defense and allowed CC to drive right down the field for a score. A continuing problem is JC does not respond well on turnovers. I may be wrong, but it seems each time JC turns the ball over, the defense does not respond well. JC did not run many second half offensive plays. Question the play calling, sure, its easy from the stands. But credit CC for controlling the ball. I thought the CC qb put his team on his shoulders and almost willed his team to a win. When JC plays all four quarters, they are going to be a tough out. With all that, a win is always better than a loss. Move on to RBS.
  14. I wish 84 would get more touches. Good things happen when he touches the ball.
