Well first of all it is a big deal cause E was up for Mr. Basketball and second this is his senior year... Pretty big in his eyes. Second he was trying to get to the locker room where LCHS had it blocked and started antaganizing him and took a swing at him.. what would you have done if you felt thretened and someone was coming at you.. not to mention about 30 other students??? 100% False. Except for him being a senior!

This story is pretty much the same as everyone that I have heard. Could the reason he stopped fighting was because he did actually get knocked out??

See this is exactly what im talking about people like you getting on here and making stuff up.... I know exactly what happened and how it started... Call the TSSAA and tell them. You will never know until you try. As much as you seem to care about Andrews it would be the least you could do!!

Randy I honestly don't understand what the football coach from LCHS has to do with this but he was sitting on the visitors side upper level. I saw him head down toward the lower level before the game was over but am not 100% sure after that. Is there something I am missing? The next time I saw him he was in front of the student section helping. Do you know something you would like to share that would change the fact that 3 players were suspended for fighting in the LCHS student section??

I dont care what the guy was wearing , should have been doing crowd control of his fans and none of this would have happen...That is why his adminstrators sent him there, not to arrest KT!!! This could go on forever. The SRO was doing his job and the coach had him distracted. LCHS thinks its the players and the coach and yall think its the LCHS fans fault. That is not going to change no matter how long we argue!!

You are right fan64 about this going on for a long time but there are many other things that the older group like myself do not realize that has changed some. There is FACEBOOK and MYSPACE now an all this trash talking going on. These kids talk this crap online now and have to listen to this pretty much year around. Who knows, maybe some of what happened has been brewing for a while. Just a thought I would through out there.

i've gone to school with emmanuel all throughout high school and he's never been in any kind of trouble in or outside of school that any of us are aware of. As for technicals he might have some, but i mean even some of the best players display a bad attitude when they feel a bad call was made, etc. He's a really good kid in and out, works hard at everything he does.. that's why everyone is defending him so much, because we feel he would never just do any of this upon himself. Thanks for the answer. I hate that this has happened and I am not sure the correct punishments are being made but people of SCHS needs to support Andrews now more than ever. I am looking forward to see how he handles this setback but he should be fine if he is as good a person as you claim. Kids need to understand that technical fouls are not good. Not to say it had anything to do with this incident but it may have. I am sure you are right about the taunting but as an athelete I am sure he has heard this type stuff before also. I hate to blame the coach but he should have been there for his players in that situation and got them into the locker room instead of getting involved with the refs after the game and then the incident with the cheerleader. I am not saying he is a bad person but I do feel like he let his team down that night by losing his cool. Sometimes a coach getting a technical is a good thing and actually sparks his team but the one after the game was just plain dumb. I just hope lessons are learned on both sides and both sides can move on.

I am glad to hear SCHS changed the seating. I noticed while I was there that SCHS fans actually sit all over the gym. As a matter of fact Andrews family was behind me on the side I assumed was the visitors. Now for my question, has Andrews ever been in trouble. School or outside school trouble. Has he had any technical fouls, bad attitude, etc..??

no, the doorway of the front lobby that i just discussed waiting on the players.. this is how i know that many people from shelbyville were around.. and like i said not to mention that it happened on the home side of the gym. Home side of the gym?? it happened in the student section of the visitors!! the visitor student section sits at the end of our home side of the gym..and our student section sits at the end our their side of the gym.. which is why our student sections got moved after this incident to prevent future problems.. it's been this way for years. Not to argue but I find it hard to consider that end of the gym the home side. LCHS cheerleaders on that end and also the visiting players bench is on that end. It would seem to be the visitors end. This obviously doesn't have a thing to do with Andrews and the other players or even the fight but I just don't get "home side". Could someone from SCHS answer the question about Andrews ever being in trouble??

It was asked earlier on another post about Andrews having any troubles before this event but was not answered, had he ever had any other problems. Technical fouls, fights, attitude, etc.. Anything that might have played a part in the suspension to end his high school career?

I never read anything that specifically said Bobby was involved and if I did I just don't remember. So Bobby was suspended from school for a half day? Is Andrews and the other players suspended from school or from just playing basketball. I wasn't aware they were out of school.

Emmanuel's punishment was exceedingly harsh given the circumstances. Feel free to call TSSAA and let them you know you'd like for him to have the opportunity to play again. 615-889-6740 Eaglefan.......the way you talk it sounds as if this punishment came from the TSSAA and not the SCHS administration. Do you know things that you might share?

Dave......You have hardly had any fact straight to date. You have said that the SRO was taunting the players as they ran by, UNTRUE! You have said the coach did not push the cheerleader, UNTRUE! I am sure from all your great facts that you were close to the action. I hate that Andrews is not able to play anymore because he was an exciting player to watch. We know what we heard and I am sure both sides have opinions. The bottom line is the TSSAA, LCHS and SCHS has had to make a stand and not let this just pass by. Think what you want about your friend and I will do the same.

I would like to wait and see what happens with either SCHS or TSSAA on Andrews before I would rule him out. If he serves his punishment and does what is required then he deserves all he gets. He is very talented but so is Ron Artest!!

E.Andrews and all of the Shelbyville players played Saturday night. Thanks Clay...........just what I thought!! So it appears the only thing SCHS has done is change the student seating. I am not surprised considering the things the principal said Friday night about the LCHS fans. The only way punishment will take place is if the TSSAA takes over!
