High School Football will mean as much to me as it did 4 years ago. NOT MUCH. I will continue to support the Eagles from the stands. But not on here. Time to move on. This is SMTNFAN signing off. Which Kid was that on the bench. In one game this year, we had 13 players with rushing stats (one was the QB). Tell me another school running 12 different backs in a game. Coach Price rotates players so often most don't even notice.

After nearly three hours of listening to Signal Mountain High School’s appeal, followed by more than five hours of closed-door discussion, the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association’s six-member Board of Control has not yet reached a verdict. According to one TSSAA source, the board members will reconvene early Friday morning to continue their discussion and vote on the appeal.

Over 6 hours and no decision yet. Guess this case is not as cut and dried as many of you have thought and posted. Regardless of the outcome, I believe this case will set a precedent for years to come. GO EAGLES!!

Don't know which team you support, don't even care. You won't find me spewing hate on your threads, but there are many from other areas who seem to spend all day throwing stones our way. For a long time, I was simply a reader of CoachT but then in only our second year as a team, the hate began and the rumors started spreading on these post about us cheating/recruiting because we were winning and a new school was not supposed to win. I joined simply to defend our school because we were and still are tremondously outnumbered by the haters on these threads. Regardless of what others may think, I know how hard these kids have worked to become the team they are and I cannot sit back without defending them. I am extremely proud of them and their accomplishments and I stand behind them and Coach Price. You may think I'm arrogant, but you should take a look in the mirror. If you want to check my content, you will find that I have not posted near as much as you. You and others seem obsessed with Signal Mountains Success. Once this season is over, I will be gone from these threads, but I bet you, Barb, Rlh, purple grad and others will still be on here bashing Signal Mountain. GO EAGLES!!

I hate that Mr Layne got his feelings hurt. However, Our integrity has been questioned as well. Not just our coaches and administrators, but our school, our kids, our school board member and community as a whole. I for one will be glad when this witch hunt is over and you folks can go back to wollowing in your own misery instead of trying to create some for those more successful than you. If we were not winning so much. You people would not be whining so much. YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE. GO EAGLES!!

You and the TSSAA can count our wins however you want to, but the fact remains, We won the games on the field. You know it, the community knows it, the kids know it. GO EAGLES!!

You know, the more I think about it, I believe Barb turned us in. She seems to be the most consistant one opposing us and Greenville may have been in our path to a second State Title. Barb, you must really be scared of our Eagles. For someone without a kid on the field you sure seem to have a bunch of pent up hostility towards the Eagles. By the way, what was the score the last time we played Greenville. Oh yeah, thats right, we never have. So what's your Beef? I know we didn't run up the score on you. How were you cheated and why are you so consumed with seeing us punished?

Our boys have not cheated and when it is 11 on 11 they are excellant.

Why don't we just give everyone a trophy just for participatiing. That way there are no winners or losers. If you strive for excellance, you will achieve that. If you strive for mediocraty, you will achieve that also.

Coach Price has been around long enough to know the rules and he preaches following them and doing the right thing constantly to the players.
