  1. I pick MC by 10 in a close game. Moore County's experience in big road games will pay off in this one, from their postseason run last year to the Midsouth Classic and tough AAA road tests this year. That should help them to stay collected and play their game--they've been in this situation and know they can come out victorious.
  2. For those of you who took in the Class A games on Wednesday, which team impressed you or surprised you the most? Who made you say, "Wow! I didn't expect....?" Also were there any players that you thought were better than advertised?
  3. Both teams beat MTCS and Summertown, while both lost to Forrest and Lawrence Co. The only common opponent that came out different was Lewis Co.--Moore Co. beat them, while Wayne Co. lost twice to them. Like I said before, it looks like this is going to be one great matchup!
  4. What a great first round matchup! I'm sure it will be one of the biggest crowds for a single A game with all of the support both schools will bring with them. I'm picking Moore County by 5 with a great defensive performance!
  5. There is a reason you've never seen it---you have to be winning before you can try to run the clock at the end of a game, and unfortunately that doesn't happen very often in Tullahoma. It's not because of "respect," it's because you don't try to run out the clock when you're getting run out of the gym! And the high and mighty AAA thing isn't going to fly here either--Single A Moore County has more success than you against the same AAA schools that you play!
  6. So maybe you should have gone to the Tullahoma game instead. Oh, wait, that's right.... Go Raiderettes!!! Your fans are so proud of you!
  7. I used to love playing in and still love going to games in some of the older gyms. They don't always have all of the comforts of some of the new ones, but you can't replace the character and atmoshphere of the old places. Summertown is definitely the first that comes to mind, also White County. Does Oak Ridge still play in its old gym? I haven't been up there in a few years but enjoyed it as well.
  8. Was the Moore County/Tennessee High game as close as the score looks?
  9. What will the second round of this tournament look like as far as matchups and times?
  10. If Moore County can hit open shots and play solid team defense, I think they can win. Otherwise, Forrest could possibly run away with it as I think they are probably the more consistent team at this point. Another key for Moore County could be depth in the post--Hawn could be the best player on the floor, but if the Raiderettes pound the ball inside early and look to score instead of just kicking it back out, they have enough good post players that they could maybe get her into foul trouble early.
  11. What have been the strengths/weaknesses in the first couple of games? Has there been any change in style since Jodi came in, or have they tried to incorporate her into what they were already doing? There are a lot of big games coming up with Cornersville, MTCS, Forrest, etc....what's the outlook? On paper it seems to me that Moore County is back to being a state contender, but it also seems that everyone is being cautiously optimistic about the team right now---what's going on?
