Well played game for sure. Friendship stayed with them for a half. Trousdale did have a TD called back in the first half but it wasn't a bogus holding call, at least not according to the way Trousdale's coach let the kid have it who got called for the hold. Friendship also had a drive stopped at the TC 1 on downs.
The first half saw FCS with 137 yards of offense compared to 152 for Trousdale, but the second half was a different story. By game's end, Trousdale ran 58 offensive plays to FC's 34 and Trousdale averaged over 7 yards per play in the second half and were always in position to make all the blocks downfield.
It's too bad that two of the three (South Pitt, Trousdale, and FCS) have to be eliminated by Round 3 every year in the playoffs. Wouldn't it have been nice to see these three meet up in the semifinals and finals some year?
