Is Meigs really that bad. Its really hard for me to imagine a blowout in this one. Meigs always played us tough. I would really hate to see a first half like the one against SP except with us being the ones standing out there in confusion at how this just happened.

Wow yall are still going on about this game. I will say that this was a heck of a game on both sides of the ball. Both teams played their hearts out. Really South Pitts only mistake was underestimating the Wildcats. It seems to me that they read too much into the whole (Polk hasn't beat any "real" teams talk) and really got taken by suprise in the first half. I was pulling for Polk obviously since i did graduate from there, but I am only telling the truth when I say that this could have been a completely different ball game if South Pitt had taken us more seriously. I just graduated a few years ago so I can still remember that feeling of thinking you are going to run over an opponent and then getting smashed in the face. Sequoyah did it to us our senior year. We won of course but that game ended up being closer than it ever should have been. I am not saying that South Pitt would have beat Polk but I can promise that the big lead in the first would not have happened. South Pitt is too good of a ball club for that.I cannot put into words at how proud I am of the season that Polk County has had. But seriously can we put this one behind us now and start thinking about Meigs. Because I know thats where Coach Davis's mind is at right now and hopefully all of the players. This one is over. Great job both teams, Polk for putting it to them and never letting up and South Pitt for not laying down and still having the will to fight and make a game out of it. I would like to wish South Pitt the best of luck in the future.

I have skimmed through most all of the posts on here for this game and there has been few things that I really believe should be set straight. The first one that got my attention and it ties into other statements about the teams we have played, stated that "They are the same old Polk, big, slow and overrated." Polk County has earned their spot in the rankings. They have went out week after week and taken care of business. I really don't think that people can hold who they played against them. They are where they are because they deserve to be. You had better believe me when I say that Coach Davis wil have his boys ready to play. This will be a good game, I can promise you that. This "IS" the best team Polk County has had in quite a while, and South Pitt had better not underestimate them. Oh and before I forget, I read some South Pitt replies about them being able to even compete with Alcoa... Thanks for giving me my laugh of the day. Best of luck to both teams.
