Let me say all 4 teams left in the 3a playoffs deserve to be there all of them had to beat somebody to get this far, as far as all this trash talking ive said it ever since the playoffs began PARENTS and FANS dont go on the feild and play only the young men on Elizabethton's and Alcoa's football team will decide this game. What happened last week, early season, or last year will not matter only the score friday night. Do I think Aloca has a great team yes i do but TENNESSEE HIGH had a great team until they were beat two weeks ago and they were no#1 in their classification at the time they were beat. Thanks it was a good game for Elizabethton tonight, but i know a good ball team when i see it and AUSTIN-EAST has SOME good seasons a head of them. They have played alot of young players who will great in years to come.

The players will decide the game not fans and parents, too many people live in the past this is a big game for EHS they have a chance to prove a point and i know they will.

Ok answer me this Asheville ranked third in their classification when during this season has Austin-East been ranked third in their classification thats right i didnt think so and i cant believe you think their as good as Asheville. Asheville doesn't look impressive in this clip. They look athletic, but not disciplined. The DLine didn't control their gaps, the DBs were not ready at the snap of the ball, their technique is not sound, and they didn't tackle well. At this point in the season, Austin-East is better than that. If i have any grandson's will you be available to coach them.

I have to say i totally agree with your post that both teams are evenly matched and i think big play makers for E-TOWN will make big plays, the cyclones have home field and bunch of talented young men. I honestly think AUSTIN-EAST and ELIZABETHTON are both good football teams as for HEART I have watched these seniors play together their entire life they wont quit they have heart. I think both teams have talent if heart doesnt win games and all it takes is talent what wins when they call the winner of a game the under dog. I hope for an injury free game for both teams and good sportsmanship. I didn't say that talent alone wins games; I was just making the point that "HEART" alone doesn't win games either. You say that these seniors have heart and won't quit. If that alone wins games, then Elizabethton would be undefeated. Both teams will want to win on Friday. The team that executes the best and makes fewer mistakes on offense, defense, and special teams will win. You're exactly right the team that plays best with fewest mistakes wins the game, by the way i was at the scrimmage a couple years ago and austin-east did have an excellent team, im sure their not going to come to elizabethton and lay down, but the fact is the only thing that kills me is listening to k-town thinking if you dont live and play there then your not on the same level. I think this game will put an end to that but you have people who want to dig up old scores from the past so i guess even though we only live a little over an hour from k-town were not the same level. I hope everyone coming from there to the game friday night keeps thinking that.

Like Ive said before i think these are two very good teams and both teams have earned their place in the playoffs. This old grandpa has seen alot of football games and never have i seen a parent or fan go on the the field and win a game. Lets start by saying I have lived in the elizabethton area my entire life and im very proud of my home town so the comments about cow town does make me raise my eye brows, but i did play football near elizabethton not for elizabethton and i remember the first thing my football coach ever said was dont let your mouth write a check your butt cant cash and i think a lot of mouths have wrote some checks. You're right. This game won't have anything to do with scheme, preparation, or talent... just "HEART." I guess this is the first year that Elizabethton has "wanted it the most." I guess Austin-East is out of luck because this year Elizabethton wants to win really bad. I'm sure that Greeneville (in 2008), Daniel Boone (in 2005), Tennessee (in 2004), Cherokee (in 2003), and Morristown West (in 2002) all appreciate the fact that those teams did not "want it the most." First of all i want to say great job last week cyclones, as for all the comments about who has the most speed and who played the toughest and best teams this year thats all in the eyes of the fans cause none of that will matter friday night.It will be a new game either you will win or you go home i guess a lot of austin east fans think if you dont play teams from Knoxville you dont play anybody thats what i hope every player from Austin-east thinks friday night ill bet you they want think that when they get back on the bus to go home. I agree no refs to blame this game will come down to elizabethton"s seniors if they play like they played all year and control tempers they will win hands down this will be a team win but the seniors have to show leadership and i think they will they have worked hard this season.
