Just got this the other day: DATE: January 20, 2011 TO: Athletic Directors and Head Baseball Coaches FROM: Gene Menees, Assistant Executive Director SUBJECT: Legal Baseball Bats As a reminder for the 2011 high school baseball season, legal bats can come from 1 of 3 categories: 1) Bats that have BESR permanently stamped on the barrel 2) Bats that have BBCOR permanently stamped on the barrel 3) Composite bats that are listed on our website Any bat within 1 of these 3 groups is legal for the 2011 baseball year.

That would be awesome to do that in 4 years... Another young coach is Andy Chrisman at Cocke County. He's 24 and trying to build a progeam...I went to Cocke County, and the Chrisman guy is trying to get the town to support the baseball team...heck all the athletic programs aren't doing to swift at CCHS.

Seems to me that this topic has popped up here several times. I am going to throw out Coach Armstrong and Coach Cody at Gallatin. They are both 24 and have the program headed in the right direction. Armstrong is a Gallatin grad and is Gallatin thru and thru. Both he and Cody say that they are going to turn Gallatin into a winning program....but we will see

Gallatin and White House High Schools will be hosting the Inaugural Green Wave Classic on April 14th-16th. The Head Coach at Gallatin and his first asst. have to be two of the youngest...I think Armstrong and Cody are 24 and 23 respectively.

Gallatin- Tanner Sandel- Starting CF as a Soph. batting .417 Willian Bender- Starting SS as a Soph. batting .360 Starting on the Varsity Team...Stats are from all Varsity Games

Not sure about any of those teams...read something in the Gallatin Paper that had Gallatin's Coach making alot noise....something about the McCauley kid going to Tennessee Tech?

#32 is going to be in Beast Mode tonight. That touchdown last week got him fired up. He is going to get at least one more tonight. Guarantee it! He is a baller!

Cody Matthews is a Senior....So is Enriques (#9). Great game. One of the loudest high school games I had ever attended. Only thing I didn't like was the police siren and lights..got a little annoying after about 5 minutes haha. Gallatin has already beaten Beech 7-0 in the season...who knows?

I wonder if the Henry Co. people realize they are letting school out early at Gallatin just so we can have a decent crowd there for kickoff....again I think that those who attend will get their money's worth.

There is alot of pride and enthusiasm amongst the players and coaches here at the school. I am not saying that we will win, but I almost guarantee that those who show up will get there money's worth...It all depends on the ground game. Whoever runs the most will most surely win...
