  1. My most sincere apology to you 'Barb',for being critical of your reply to this poster(no tounge-in-cheek intended). Not even mid June and the flashy numbers are out. It's wonderful for teams to have fans who believe in them, but to repeat the last two seasons worth of horn tooting, bragging, predicting, and finaly the egg on the face disappearing acts by the very ones causing the animosity toward a good coach, solid team, and a small town with a proud tradition would be stupid at best.Let the team do their own talking between the sidelines, nothing gains more respect than losing with dignity unless it's winning with humility.

    Well said!!

  2. Fairview not a very exciting place to play. I would think he should go to a brighter, bigger stage to play. :) Also where he'll have a chance to play in unfortunately Cookville. On another note I'd like to see the Championships @ VANDY,Titan Stadium or at elite high schools(facility wise) in east, middle & west &/or Neyland. B) Say rotate east, middle, west MUS & Libery(west) Vandy & Titan(middle/central) Neyland & Greeneville(East) :thumb:

I areeon cookeville not being the greatest of venues. However, I disagree about fairview not being able to make it to cookeville. After seeing them the last two years compete against Milan in the playoffs, they aren't that far away. They played us tight thru 3 qrts, we just pulled away in the4th last year. Wharton could very much put them in the championship. It would be a great game between them and my Dawgs :thumb:

  3. Howdoitknow2,

I agree with your top 5 you had previousy listed. However, if Vic Wharton was to go to Fairview, don't you think that would shake things up a bit? Having seen them play my Dawgs the last 2 years in the playoffs, it is obvious they are very talented. Also seeing Wharton play against us in the playoffs last year w/CPA, it is obvious he is a tremendous athlete. As a Milan fan, I would hate to see him go to Fairview, because he might just be the piece Fairview needs to get them over the hump.

  4. Ripley will be ok with Craig there. They showed some promise, but you could tell they have been a spread team previously. Craig will get them better if inti e!

No doubt craig will make a big impact in ripley. He is a good man and a great hire for the ripley football team. I think in 2-3 years everyone will see a completely different ripley team if he can get all the athletes to play as a team. Look forward to seeing good things from them.

  5. actually for your information greeneville made it to the semi finals for the first time in 2008 just figured i would help you get your facts straight there barb

Again, if the arguement is who is most over-rated of the three, you keep proving my point with your responses. Indeed all three are good teams. However, Lexington has NEVER made it past the semi's. And they played in 3A before the reclassification. You say Greeneville is more over-rated based on the fact that they only found championship after moving down in classification, but your facts and statements are making you look silly.

  6. i think greeneville is the most overrated because they had to drop a class to even get a gold or silver ball pathetic

First let me say, I am not a Greeneville fan, but have respect for what they have accomplished. However, your arguement does not make sense. We are deciding who is most over-rated between Greeneville, Signal Mountain and Lexington.

Yes, Greeneville dropped down to 4A before they won a gold or silver ball. But Signal Mountain's only gold ball came in 2A. Greeneville's came in 4A. Lexington has never even been to a championship game. So your arguement about championship games in regards to classification makes no sense.

  7. Week 0: Station Camp vs Hendersonville

Week 1: Columbia vs Dickson County

    Week 2:

Week 3: Pearl-Cohn vs Battle Ground Academy

    Week 4: Oakland vs Blackman

Week 5: Goodpasture vs David Lipscomb

Week 6: Maplewood vs Christ Presbyterian Academy

    Week 7:

    Week 8:

    Week 9:

    Week 10:

I am over halfway there with this year's schedule. Does anyone know of the games that will take place on some of these "missing weeks"? I have to believe we'll see Riverdale, Smith County, Friendship Christian, Trousdale County, White House, etc. at some point this season.

Looks like some GREAT match-ups so far. I would love to see Maplewood/CPA.

  8. WoW! Milan with some smack talk! Impressive. What do y'all look like BIG?

No disrespect intended, all in fun. Being an avid Milan fan for years, I have always enjoyed the rivalry with Humboldt. Nevertheless, we should have a good team next year. We return alot of starters off of last years runner-up team. Should be a good year. Hope Humboldt has success as well! :thumb:

  9. The Humboldt Vikings dominated Ripley this past saturday in their scrimmage. The vikings scored six touchdowns to Ripley's one touchdown

Glad Humboldt had some success against Ripley. Enjoy it. In just about two and a half months you will face another team in purple. You will not be as successful.
