Cocky? Ha! If we are cocky then we have reasons to be...Our baseball team were state runner ups...football team...awesome last year and this year...and now our basketball team is about to beat WC for the district championship....so don't hate on MP. thumb

I'll be happy to tell you what happened....the refs did a poor job. Plain and simple. Jay and Larry were both in foul trouble and didn't start the 4th quarter which is when WC took the lead. Not saying that thats the reason why MP went down but those 2 really could have helped a bunch. Thats ok though because MP is still #1!!! thumb

The 5th ranked Lady Raiders beat Mt. Pleasant by only three points. Do ya'll think that district 12A teams match up to the 11A teams?

The newspaper has it wrong because MP doesn't play Chapel Hill this year. I was told that MP does Spring Hill Feb. 5th tho. thumb

Mt. Pleasant beat them in the first game and they didn't even play a good first half. If MP can get a good start then they should win. MP by 11.

All 5 starters are excellent basketball players. Jamarcus is hard to defend inside, the twins and Grandberry are all good penetrators, and Dennis can penetrate and shoot the three. They also have Jones coming off the bence who is a great rebounder. I don't think that MP has no1 to worry about in the district. GO Mt. Pleasant!!!!

Whatever bankshot05...were you even at the game? It's amazing how many people get on here and talk crap about teams that they've never seen play before. WC has an O.K team and MP shouldn't have lost to them like they did. They just got lucky. MP had a bad game but they will meet WC again and the outcome will be different. And EagleClaw...anybody with common sense would know that it does not matter where you play at, refs are still going to cheat. The refs Friday night were fair I must say. Everybody has a bad game every once in a while right? Even if we did beat WC...MP still wouldn't get any respect. But hey...just the first half of the season. MP eventually earn some respect!

There doesn't look like no1 in the district is going to beat them. Only beat Summertown by 1, true...BUT they were 24-48 from the free-throw line...could have made a big difference.
