  1. the only thing that lost wind was the blue # 56.....ouch
  2. bratt i think you are the one with dark glasses on
  3. slow down 18....our offense, defence, special teams, nobody showed up at good pasture. they didnt show up at bledsoe either. we are losing some good seniors, but i guarentee you there will be sophmores that will do just as good(if not better)next year.we will still have a big ol line, maybe a little younger but they will step up. dont know if you have noticed this year and last year most of the team that seen play time was freshman and sophmores. lets be a little patient with the coaching staff they know as well as we do that a 6-5 season isnt good enough. these younger kids know how to win. im pleased (this year)we finished with 6/5...i wasnt expecting to win the district...these next couple of years will be good for grundy
  4. yep, they do have the advantage, they know where all the holes and cow patties are on the field alcoa, make sure you walk the pasture before game time. worst football field in the state
  5. i've gotta ask.. where does whitwell stand in this big ol disfunctional family you have?
  6. I think them jasper folks are mad about talkin sp coaches on a jasper high school coach thread
  7. two of grundy's key players are questionable in friday's night game. sad to see seniors not being able to play their last playoff game
  8. this game could get ugly quick without the two key players not going to get to play or wont be 100% at game time. think its time for more freshman to stand up and take charge for the upperclassmen. good luck grundy
  9. i'm liking it too...couldnt figure out why coach bryant kept the sprinklers on all week before practice....
  10. dang... i was hoping jasper would hold on to him just a few more years and sure nuff their program would go straight to HADES they've got alot of good young talent there, whomever gets it will look like a nick saban for turning it around
  11. he might have got "jumped on" and filed a hardship to get a better education
  12. i was thinking the same thing...the qb better bring his A game. senior night
  13. wasnt that far in the hood. i do remember the fog rollin in and you couldnt even see the home team's stand from the visitors side. one thing you couldn't keep from missing was the annoucer. may have been on the outside of the hood but it was a friendly atmosphere. lets beat notre dame, them we'll worry about playing in the hood or not
  14. did he not coach these kids when they where underclassman?
  15. sounds good to me. as long as he is there, you'll see the more talented kids packing
  16. jacket 18,let me correct you if i may, you may be one of the few that is left that is still holding on to a north vs. south attitude. if you are, you have no business saying you are a grundy fan. you are a moron for saying north grundy hates south grundy and south hates north. look at the little bulldogs...half the team is from coalmont, gruetli.but something you and alot of people dont understand, coalmont, gruetli, and palmer are south grundy. dont believe me? put a crosshair in the center of the county..gruetli and palmer are southeast grundy. still dont belive me? ask the southeast grundy county rescue squad.(gruetli-lagger and palmer fire dept. combined}so, part of the problem may not be 7th and 8th graders playing pee wee ball, it just might be closed minded people like you that still live in the 50's and try to keep our county from uniting
  17. if you dig yourself in a big hole...its hard to get out...fire him,the last two years was embarrasing
  18. Grundy has its fair share of troubles with football as does alot of programs....to single out a coach, player, school or anything ,is wrong. there are several big things that cant be fixed over night....or may never get fixed. With no middle school and no desire to build one will hold grundy sports back decades behind the rest. With the pee wee leagues playing 7th and 8th graders to win the harvest bowl , will never help the ms program. Coaching, i think there should be some changes, not meaning the entire staff.
  19. after having to read your post several times to get the meaning, that is the most intelligant thing you've ever posted
  20. jacket 18, im one of the biggest grundy fans, other than rayburn, and i support the team and coaches 100%. but if you think for a minute the school board gives a hoot about gc winning or losing ballgames you are dead wrong. how many board members do you see at the games? not only football. baseball, basketball, softball dont see them there either. cracker, foster, melton where are the rest?
  21. i forgot about the bubble too. thats how we beat bledsoe last year
  22. i think you,me,coaches, fans, band members and cheerleaders no we are not or will ever be sp. yea, we are big and slow,so what. we are also strong. when you have those three things going your way you should be able to grind yardage every play. BUT, if you dont have a quick pass to keep the lb's at home, youre out manned every play. i hoping the coaches watch the sm film again and see the success we had with the quick pass. we had 94 yards less than sm. passing and we had more rushing yardage. come on coaches do your homework and win these last two games!
