  1. Stay calm Sarah. We're just trying to help you keep your indy thread alive. If it wasnt for us non indy folks, this thread would already be dead. The last, what, 10 posts have been about other stuff. Thats a pretty sad indicator for you right there. Indy support has gone the way of the Indy talent; somewhere else. And when I tried to show you how recruiting has an impact on Indy, you didnt respond. And I will only say this once, I am not Eubanks. As a coach, I would think he would be with the football team right now, working them out and conditioning them. Spring practice starts next week for CHS, I believe. Indy loses to Summit within 3 years. Is that on track enough for you for this thread?
  2. As I stated before, I am a new Centennial fan. 0-13 doesnt bother me at all. I think one thing that can be stated is that eventually all schools beat Franklin. Centennial's time will come soon. How many state championships does FHS have in its 101 year history? Uh-oh... Talk to Wayne. He can give you all the proof you need if he is in the mood to be honest. I have it from a very direct source that he admitted what he was doing to get kids to go to Franklin instead of Centennial.

I won the battle when all you had left as a response is an attack on the messenger. That is perfectly fine and expected. Head up arrogant backside syndome is expected when dealing with such "gentlemen." As proof, that you will provide in response to this post, of your smallness and defeat, I will allow you the honor of the last word in our exchange. Small, defeated men need that. Make it count. Lesson over.

Mistakes are still being made, so your request cannot be honored. Spin, cover-ups, half truths, etc. are still happening with this story. My hope is that TSSAA sees through it all and gives you the same penalty it gave to another school caught doing something very similar. I don't think "move on" will move many toward the goal you seek.

Aloof assumptions make you look a little desperate to defend your beloved school. A simple sentence from me you you think you know what I believe and you stretch that into asserting that I think football is the most immportant thing at MBA. Quite a long stretch. Football is a recruiting tool for the school. Not much more and not much less than that. You can throw in a few life lessons from competitive team sports as part of the bundle and you have what it is. You also have what it has now been shown to be at MBA. Competitive to the point of cheating to win. Wear your egg proudly as your class ring. Dont worry, this too shall pass.

The old "well, football is not that important in the grand scheme of things" argument always comes out when cheaters get caught.

Honesty seems to be a problem around the MBA campus these days.
  8. You might want to wake up and smell the roses. While this may seem like a thread highjack, the CHS-FHS issue only highlight what is already a problem for Independence. Your best athlete goes to BHS, but lives 5 minutes from Indy. He is not the first and wont be the last. With Summit opening in your back yard, this will be a bigger and bigger problem for you. As you are well aware, you have a very sub par coach. That being said, serious athletes will find their way to programs with better coaching. Because of that, Summit will beat Indy in three years or less, with a smaller student body and a smaller but better coached team.
  9. FHS uses their IB program the same way. They have unfair practices and advantages that they have exploited every year, and they are still getting weaker and weaker as a program.
  10. I have it from a very good source that the administration at CHS had a meeting with the person that was doing FHS's dirty work. Word is, he admitted what he had been doing. I think the embarrassment from that has made a lot of the recruiting stop.
  11. Word is that there are students that drive right past FHS to get to CHS. Crazy.
  12. The old boys definitely don't like their dirty little secret being told thats for sure. Segregation is the darkest and most hidden on they have, but you can look at the schools and see how intentionally it has happened.
  13. Word on the street is that a few years ago, when Franklin's scores and grad rate dropped and they got put on the state's priority list, they used it as an excuse to remove a more difficult portion of its student body and sent them to Centennial through zoning. During that time, they have constantly recruited those students who were athletic to come back to FHS. From what I understand, there was even a time when the majority of starters on the FHS football team should have been Centennial students. Fake addresses, living with grandma, taking classes that another school didnt offer, etc, all the old ways of beating the system. I've been told that the Franklin coach once commented that he beats Centennial with their own players. Pretty sad. But back to your request. When they changed to zone about 5 years ago, a local politican made it very clear that they wanted FHS to be a homogeneous school. If you look at the demographics of FHS, they have continually been less and less diverse over the last several years, so that politicians wishes are coming true. I have been told that almost 90% of the two middle schools that once fed Franklin High School (Popular Grove and Freedom Middle) now go to Centennial. Grassland Middle feeds completely into Franklin H.S. with a tiny portion of PGMS and FMS getting pilfered away from CHS to FHS. Most locals around here do not realize that Franklin High School does not serve the students and areas that are considered Franklin and Old Franklin. Franklin High School should be called Grassland High School. They are Franklin High School in name only. Because of all of this, Franklin has become less and less athletic in the past few years. The real community of Franklin goes to Centennial. It took me some digging to put all this together, but a few calls to some well connected friends helped me put this all together.
  14. I saw this mess coming a long time ago. Thankfully, I'm retired and dont have children at Independence. I just enjoy watching high school football. I gave up on Indy and have a new team to follow, Centennial. They made a great hire, seem to be doing things right, and will be on the rise. Making the right hire at a school is critical. Independence made a bad one and are paying for it. Ravenwood made two bad ones in the span of 3 months and will be paying for it. Franklin will still be Franklin, but are getting weaker every year because they have privatized themselves by becoming Grassland High, there just isnt a lot of top athletes going to public schools from that area any more, their recruiting efforts into the Centennial zone are being thwarted. Brentwood will be consistent and will still be Brentwood. Independence will be beaten by a much smaller and much better Summit HS within 3 years.
  15. Five days and no posts? Wow...ths announcement had a worse effect than I thought. Apathy kills programs. Is Ravenwood having spring practice this year or are they just writting football off to the bad choices of the principal?
  16. Unimpressive hire. Did they not Google this guy?
  17. Thanks Jack. Here's a fun question for you; How do deal with parents that are upset that jr isnt getting enough playing time or the ball enough, etc.?
  18. 1. Why did Smith leave? (more than "personal reasons") 2. When will new RHS coach be named? 3. How many have interviewed for it? 4. Who are the leading candidates? 5. Predictions for Centennial's upcoming season?
  19. You think the only place a kid didnt get enough playing time to satifisfy dad was independence? If all the other schools could be so lucky.
  20. A poster by the name of powercat and a few other keep bringing a certain coach up, not me. Doh
  21. Centennial fans, see the above response to see the attitude that has kept you from consistently winning. Whining Napoleons who make immature accusations against wrongly identified coaches because their son didnt get enough playing time is yet another great reason for failure. I knew Napoleon couldnt keep from posting something negative to me. I'm sorry that Napoleon Jr. has to keep seeing Senior get bested and embarassed on a message board. Not a very good example. Stay focused, Napoleon. This is about football, not your vendetta against a coach because your boy didnt play enough. He's already embarassed about his play and lack of during the season. You are making it downright shameful for him. Give Centennial a couple of years and they will be in the top teams in the district and eventually the mid state. Napoleon loses. Go Cougars!
  22. powercat, on 09 March 2011 - 07:58 AM, said: If I were you and got caught saying all the things you have said I would do all the damage control I could, just like you are doing. You are as simple and predictable as your offense was. You start posting just about the time school starts,I am sure that is just a coincidence. Good thing you are in ISS and not in a class where real instruction takes place. Maybe administration is where you belong,at least kids would have a real chance to get coached. Taco said; There is no damage control going on, just the grim reality of a sad, frustrated, little man who claims to be supporting a school but in all actuality are trying to tear it down because of immature anger. Pitiful and sad and wrong. You have embarrased yourself, your son, and the school you claim the mascot of. I will stop posting to you for their sake. I will let you have the last word. Small, weak men need that and I will allow you the chance the to prove that you are weak and small. You wont let me down. Little men are so predictable. I knew I wouldnt be let down. Flag football, anyone? To Centennial; powercat shows the excuse making and gutlessness that caused so many losses in the past. Use this as an example of what not to do to win. This person has an issue with me taking on an RHS supporter, and he claims your mascot. How pathetic. I've heard Coach Rector is cutting loose some of the kids that display this same attitude. Way to go Coach R! Go Cougars!
  23. profanity (****) and !!! are very mature, my friend. The USA chanting was in the paper. Do a little research and you can read all about it. To Centennial; see how easy it is to rattle your opponents? Every team in the county is beatable by you and this poster gives a perfect example of why. GO COUGARS!
  24. Perhaps it is MISS Taco Perhaps YOU will spark up Taco Perhaps you dont like hearing what I have to say about RHS because they are used to having the truth hidden from the public Perhaps the frontrunner for the RHS position has a Vandy pedigree Perhaps that would be another coaching hire mistake Perhaps I dont like schools that chant USA at CHS players who are not caucasion during basketball games Perhaps you do Sparks to you
