  1. Santa Fe may have pulled off the victory without the help of "the ref"!!!!! I think that was pretty close to your statement, right. I could really go toe to toe with you on the bad calls. It's not that Santa Fe girls played with everything they had, it's just no way they could have won without this ref, right? I hope you did the right thing and reported "this ref" for this misconduct on the floor. We need to find out what his issues are, before he hurts another team like the Lady Mustangs. "This ref" kept Ally Laws, their top scorer, down to 8 points in the first half, not the Lady Wild Cats. How'd he do that with everybody watching. And in the 2nd half of the game, she had 7 points until she fouled out. Oh.... I see, that must be "the ref" you're talking about, she got her 4th and 5th foul in the 4th quarter, and if the hadn't fouled out, they would have won the game. Because in the last 3:25 min. she was gonna START SCORING. Oh, yea, finally, now I see "you're" picture clearly. "The ref" took out Abby Laws and that's how Santa Fe won!! Wow..... p..o..o..r, Lady Wild Cats, they thought it was their athletic ability and guidance of coach Brown.
  2. I'm assuming by your referral to the 4th quarter, that could only mean one thing "the technical" called against coach Tipps. Abby Laws drew her 5th foul, the ref held up 5, but she stayed on the floor. Coach Tipps questioned the refs call strongly and a technical was called. I also read Marion Wilhoite's version in the Daily Herald and I quote, "a technical foul was called on coach Greg Tipps, but only because he didn't have a sub available to go in the game within the required time." I didn't quite understand that statement Marion, "so where were his subs," from my position, they were sitting beside him, he's a good coach, he knew who was on the bench.
  3. I have been fortunate to see many of our athletes in Maury County and surrounding area play over the years. The Dodson girl is an all-round athlete and a leader on the court. And of coarse, that's "my" opinion. The comment, by Braves10 "she's not as good as everybody thinks she is." Well, really, that didn't make a whole lot of sense, anybody who has seen her play can draw their own thoughts. And 1000 pts is a big deal, try making em! Congrats to Nelms on her 2000 pts, very talented athlete, sorry to hear she want be playing college ball, maybe she'll change her mind. And by the way, this thread is to discuss tournament play, not bash an athlete.
