  1. Hey boy i tried to tell u that franklin has pitching and hitting and ravenwood found that out and so will indy who looked like a rec league team against centenial. u keep predicting and we will keep winning boy. indy way overhyped, 2 avg pitchers and no hitting
  2. Page is terrible. I would hope Franklin would beat them. Page is very inexperienced after losing a great senior class last year. The only legit prospect Franklin has is Little. He could be a draft next year if he continues to improve. Who cares if a team has walk-up music? Sounds to me like their coach is a control freak. Who is he? No way the Rebels are better than Indy, Ravenwood, or Brentwood. Hey, I wasnt expecting much myself but I'm telling you they are good. I don't care who they lost, Gross is a top notch pitcher for page and Franklin was hitting him pretty good. Ravenwood and Brentwood might be able to hang with Franklin but Indy has no shot. By the way, Franklins coach is named Frank Glover, I don't know if he is a control freak but i Know he will control Indy
  3. I went by and watched Franklin scrimmage Page Monday night. I think Franklin is going to surprise a lot of people this year. Page threw their ace, Gross, and Franklin was up 7-0 at the end of 5. Little hit one about 425 feet his first time up to set the tone. Their defense was very solid, they threw a different pitcher every inning and there wasn't much difference between 1 and 5. I was very impressed with the team and the coaches. they're is no walk up music and they don't throw it around after an out, they looked very business like so watch out Indy and Brentwood I think ya'll will be chasing the Rebels at the end.
  4. Where was Franklin during the state tournament last year? Oh yeah at home where they will be again this year. How many times has Indy been to the state and how many times has Franklin been to the state. uh oh
  5. I've never seen someone so jealous of Franklin, get over it dude! Indy will never be in the same class as Franklin. From academics to athletics, from tradition to history, from respect to prestige, Indy can't hold a candle to Franklin, not even close. Indy is a AAA Page High School, I know it's frustrating but you are going to have to learn to live with it. You hate Franklin because they are the best, they are better than you, accept it and move on. There are more serious issues you should be concerned with, quit fighting a battle you can't win. I feel sorry for you. P.S. Jay Johnson said he loves you no matter what
  6. laugh now, cry later, you must be an Indy fan
  7. Brian Miller-Independence Kevin Bein-Franklin Robbie Ray-Brentwood Nate Kukowski-Ravenwood Daniel Johnson-Page
  8. Ravenwood beats Franklin in overtime to win District championship. Matthews and Little make all tourny team. Franklin plays McGavock sat. 7:00 first game of the region
  9. Hillsboro: worst coached team in the District Franklin:Matthews is the key to Franklin going very far in tourny, team seems to play better w/Little in the line up, he seems to get the ball to the right person, get timely rebounds, and he can hit free throws Indy:Plays everybody close, King most over rated player in District R-wood:very streaky team, will be dangerous in tourny Brentwood:coached well, Tidwell can play, don't have many athletes to go with him Centenial:2nd worst coached team in District, Bristol's only effective in fast paced game with a lot of fast breaks, can't play with his back to the basket
  10. Who does franklin have besides little and sistrunk? catcher-Pat Raley-senior, best def catcher in the district, caught for the outlaws last summer 1st base/pitcher-Kevin Bein, 6'4" senior, pitched and played 1st for outlaws last summer, finally reaching his potential 2nd base/pitcher-Joey Falletta, senior, good athelete outfield-consist of senior Kyle Grider, left handed lead off hitter, was second in stolen bases last year junior Austin Crow, played alot last year as a soph, solid player Franklin is the best defensive team in the district and will be the best hitting team. Pitching will be the big question, but with new and improved coaching staff under coach Glover and new pitching coach John Ridling(pitched in majors for 5 years) I think their pitching will be a lot better than people think
  11. From what I have seen the subbing is to keep the top 5 away from foul trouble. When the game is on the line in the 4th the starters are in there. Those subs are giving valuable minutes to keep it close until the starters can come in and close it out. The difference between the first 10 games and the last 10 has been Debrell McLemore. He is getting into the paint but he is not finishing. The first 10 he probably averaged 20 to 25 ppg. The last 10 he has probably averaged 10 to 15 ppg. If Debrell can get his game back, F will be a strong contender pending no foul trouble from the top 5. IMO i understand the concept but what if nobody is in foul trouble. also, sometimes a player will hit 2 three pointers in a row and then come out because its his time to. why not sub one at a time when somebody needs a quick breather or gets a foul or two on them. the last 10 games teams played a lot of zone which makes it tough to drive and penetrate
  12. until franklin stops substituting so much they're never going to reach they're potential. If you can go 10 deep with not much drop off and you full court press the whole game then i can see subbing 5 in and 5 out. but franklin goes 7 deep thats all. yet they try to use 9 players and sub 2 or 3 in every 2 or 3 minutes with all different combinations, the same 5 hardly ever play together for any length of time. you can't form any type of chemistry like that. thats what happened early in the season when they were winning, the same 5 played pretty much the whole game. as far as the deal with hillsboro goes mcmillan and his boys were just trying to intimidate franklin and it worked, franklin did nothing to show that they were not intimidated, quit whining and him them back in the mouth, figuratively not literally. franklin, play your best 5 and get an attitude and you have a shot to go deep in the tourny and for gods sake quit subbing so much
