  1. Sounds like both the Toppers and the Indians weren't ready to play tonight.
  2. Hats off to the Vikings. As voltnh said, you guys came in with a great game plan and executed it pretty much to perfection. In the 1st half, TN High's time of possession was 17:43 to SH's 6:17. I'm happy we came away with the win but disappointed in how we played overall. This was not the same Topper team I've seen the last few weeks. They looked uninspired and unprepared.
  3. We don't have to keep reiterating how good McGue and the rest of this SH team are. I'm pretty sure it's more than obvious at this point.
  4. I'm not quite sure any of you realize just how bad Boone is. I've seen them play twice this season and they're awful. No disrespect to blazer and the other Boone fans here but they're terrible this year.
  5. If Crockett couldn't score on the Indians I don't see how Boone can. Yes, Crockett is 2-3 scores better than Boone this year imo.
  6. Boone is bad. I mean bad. Indians will probably be up 50 at halftime.
  7. The SH defense is still the big question mark. Everyone knows what the offense can do and so far they've been very consistent. The defense does appear to be getting a little better each game but they've still got a ways to go. Are they going to play lights out the whole game (Mo West) or lights out the first half (Siegel)? IMO they have the potential to hold the Vikings under 21 this week. Will they do so? I guess we'll find out.
  8. I saw the Greene Devils scrimmage SH a week or two before the season started and was not impressed. The Toppers were up 28-0 before Greeneville even scored.
  9. At TN High? I'm pretty sure the game is at SH. And I think the Toppers will win big. Score prediction: SH-56 TN High-28
  10. Foreman was very good. I didn't really get to see him play much as I moved back to JC when he was a Senior but I remember him. From what I've been told, everyone knew McGue was going to be good. This good? I'm not sure, but certainly knew he had the talent to end up being a very good player. He was already showing flashes of being something special at WR and returning kicks when he was a Freshman. He had to wait his turn behind Hayes at QB though. I remember last year a lot of people where concerned about the QB position. I think it took all of one game for those concerns to disappear. Next year, the QB position will be in good hands once again. Junior QB/RB, Justin Bedard, is impressive. He'll remind you a little more of Hayes. He doesn't have the elusiveness McGue has but he's a big kid with a strong arm. This year he's on the field mainly at RB and has been a bit of a surprise there. He plays very physical.
  11. Exactly. Everything starts with the QB. If you've got a great player there you've probably got a good team. And McGue's definitely got a good team around him. The thing that's so impressive to me about him is that he plays a lot bigger than he is. From what I've been told, he currently has offers from Wofford, ETSU, Tennessee State and Furman. I'll be interested to see where he ends up and what position he ends up playing in college. He plays QB, WR, DB and even returns kicks for SH. I mean he can do it all and he does it all well.
  12. Agreed but not like Malik. McGue is the kind of player that rarely comes along. He makes something out of nothing and he just makes it look easy.
  13. Yes. Don't get me wrong, Hayes was a very good QB but he couldn't make things happen with his legs like McGue can. Reed had a better arm but he didn't have that elusiveness that Malik has.
  14. baylorbigdog, just read that there was 1400 yards of total offense in this one. Insane! The article in the JC Press also said SH's 630 yards of offense is the most a BA team has ever allowed. Waco, McGue passed for 450 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns.
  15. Agreed. SH lucked up with McGue. Thankful the kid didn't want to be an Indian like his pops was.
  16. -Their lines were HUGE. Luckily, we won't play anyone close to that big again. At least not in the regular season. -Our offense is playing out of their minds this year. And yes, this Topper team is definitely better than last year's team imo. -Our linebackers are young, are they not? I mean isn't Tolley just a sophomore? The reason I think they looked small tonight is because BA as a team is very big. Against competition around here they look like everybody else.
  17. Wow. I'm sure he would appreciate that. Best of luck to you guys going forward. You really do have a great team. And you weren't lying, your OL/DL are HUGE. We won't see another one of their size and strength in the regular season (maybe even beyond that) that's for sure.
  18. I am more than confident in our defense. And our offense, nobody in this area can contain. I'm more than happy with my team right now and as confident as ever going into Oct. 31. And yes, Waco, Maryville would still run all over us even if we played together.
  19. I'm just stating the truth. If BA played Sevier County, BA wins by 3 touchdowns easily. You all will give us a great game on Halloween. That I have absolutely no doubt of. I just don't see any way you all stop our offense though.
  20. I watched both the DB/Sevier County game and the SH/BA game. BA is head and shoulders a much better team than Sevier County imo.
  21. Yes. I just caught that. C'mon, BA. No need for that. Congratulations to your team, baylorbigdog. I'm just glad my Toppers came in and played like I knew they were capable of.
  22. BA with the interception. Best game I've seen in a long, long time. Hats off to BA on a great win. You all have a great team. And hats off to the Toppers for showing up and showing out. This game will only make us better.
