  1. One thing I forgot to say in my earlier post that I should have said was that I am very proud of these boys for the season that they had this year.I think this is a great group of boys and a very good basketball club who just simply did not play up to their potential this game. I think that is what makes this hard is that these boys have worked so hard for a couple of years and are a great ballteam and I just wanted them to close with a great game. So each of you guys need to hold your heads up and be proud to have such a good team and better yet and good group of guys. God Bless each and everyone of you!!
  2. Here's my take on the game. CreekWood absolutely did not play their game and totally played back on their heels. They did not play defense well at all! The fellow from Marshall County that score their points had them handed to him on a silver platter. CreekWood played tight and not aggressive with the exception of a few guys all night long. Defense is what got them there and they did not play good D at all. Secondly, the did not attack offensively at all and settled for way to many outside shots vs taking the ball to the basket!!! Had CreekWood played their game attacked the rim and played D they would win everytime these two teams played. As I said in some earlier post of mine if CreekWood looses they will have beaten themselves and that is what happened tonight. Marshall County is not all that and a bag of chips and it will show soon enough. They just plain and simple beat themselves and did not get beat by a better team.
  3. And CreekWood rolls on.........Great game guys. Heart, hustle, and team ball that's what I'm talking about! The wood was up by 30 at one time but can't remember the final!!
  4. mvp for district 11 aa was aaron hyndman. mvp of the tournamnet was coty crow. all district for season hyndman, dotson, clements. all district for tournamnet hyndman, correll, darden. that is creekwood only. coach of the year was creekwoods coach taylor
  5. I agree with clemlawn on everything that you said. I would like to see a shot clock but since there is not one the you are right you play the game the best way that gives your team a chance to win.As for CreekWood it is still my opinion that if the lose to any team in this district then they simply beat themselves. The officiating in CW vs Harpeth the other night was horendus!! It is amazing to me that players are allowed to have someone by the shirt holding them and a foul is not called. This was done over and over in the guarding of Hyndman and Dotson and it was a no call. However, I will give kudos to Harpeth they came ready to play and played much tougher defense then I have seen them play all year. This team definately improved as the season went on and that is huge. I think a lot of defenders have the mindset of if we can't stop them just just hold them or take our chances fouling them to death. However, they know this is going to be an issue and great players find a way to play through that and help get their teammates involved even more. Coty Crowe stepped up and played a great game when we had some in foul trouble and once again this was a team effort to win the game!! Redhawks play team ball and find a way to win when it gets tough and that is what good teams do they do not make excuses!! I can assure you that no one on the Redhawks bench was pleased with how they played the first half of that ballgame. These players have got to make a commitment to crashing the boards and getting put backs when they are not shooting well or when your best rebounders are sitting on the bench. That was a huge difference in the first half of the game for sure.
  6. Thanks for the remarks you made about Hyndman you are correct in the fact that he is a classy young man and all around good kid. The same thing goes for the rest of his teammates as I am sure it goes for the majority of these kids on all these teams. And, we do need to remember that they are all just kids and we need to be aware of things that are said about those kids on this website.
  7. Papatiger, I don't generally "stir" things up but I guess that since your earlier post struck a nerve on me I once again thought I would reiterate my view on Hyndman. I won't bring his or anyone else attitude up again if you won't. I do think that any team can be beaten on any given night but I feel that CreekWood should have earned some respect from folks up to this point. I am a fan of sport and I call it like I see it and give credit where credit is due. Some folks have a hard time doing this if it means giving compliments to another team rather than their own. CreekWood, in my opinion should worry about beating themselves right now. I think they are by far the best team in the district and their record proves it. However, if they go to play and don't show up and do not play team ball then yes I think they could get beat. Again, I say this is a team that plays really well together and can go as far as the set their minds to.
  8. Creekwood wins tonight over Camden. This was a hard fought game and a good one to watch. Creekwood proved once again to be the stronger team inside but Camden did get the hot hand and have some good outside shooting. Creekwood had some foul trouble early on with Deason which sent our best outside defender to the bench early. Creekwoods outside shooting was a little slow getting started tonight but Clements finally got his shot to fall and he knocked down some threes late in the game. Crow had a good game and controlled the tempo and ran the offense very well. Dotson for Creekwood also spent some time on the bench with some foul trouble which seemed to slow the pace a bit. With Hyndman and Dotson both in the game the duo is mostly unstopable up to this point because they play really well together inside. Kudos to Camden for hustle and some great outside shooting but in my opinion their inside game needs some work.Creekwood did what they needed to do to win against this team and that was to take the ball inside, crash the boards, and play the game from the inside out. I am looking forward to the games next week and the district tournament coming up. And just for PAPATIGER.....as always I didn't seem to see the problem with Hyndmans "so called" attitude that I have been hearing about from you. As I said before this is a good group of guys who play the game with a lot of passion!! I hope we meet PAPATIGERS waverly tigers in the district tournament so we can put the hammer down again!!! Go Redhawks!!!
  9. Here is my take on Creekwood. They are a team that plays team ball and plays well together. In my opinion nobody on this team has a bad attitude or displays any bad sprotsmanship towards other teams or their own coaches. I do think they have some guys that play with fire and passion and a love for the game and if you can't handle that then you need to stay at home and play dolls!!! I know several of these kids personally and I can tell you that you won't find a better group guys both on and off the court. You can't coach a player to have some passion in his or her game they either have it or they don't. I know that if someone who cares about how they play the game expresses themself it can sometimes come across as a "bad attitude" but I can guarantee you that person is usually more concerened with what they did wrong vs the other player. And as for some of you thinking that Hynmdan has no respect for his coaches you are dead wrong. First of all, one of them happens to be his dad and I can promise you if his dad EVER seen him disrespect anyone he would pick his teeth up in the next county!! Creekwood has a good inside game with Hyndman and Dotson and when the guards play well they will be tough to beat anyday of the week. Guard play is crucial with this bunch and when they play really well the whole team plays even better. Clements has stepped up and been huge on the offensive end of the court and takes off some pressure on the inside game. Crowe has played great this year and has been running this team well on the court and he also has made shots when needed. Deason is a lockdown defender for sure and can get up in the grill of other teams and turn them over. So, do I think this team has been challanged this year? Maybe not as much as in the past few years but I do feel like they are a more complete team than the last few years. If they play their game and continue to play team ball they could go as far as they want to. I feel like guard play is huge for this team because as long as they play the way they have been playing it makes it harder for teams to guard them defensivly. If they hit shots outside it forces team to come out and guard them more which opens up the paint even more. The two bigs will take the ball to the basket and play aggressive ball because that is what they are coached to do. So either go hard or go home and if you can't handle it then stay at home!!!!!!
