12-4 going into the 7th. With one out Cory Mitchell hit a two run homer. Two hitters later Kyle Checcin hit a two run jack. Then with two outs Ben Freeman hit a double. He is followed by Ross Mitchell who doubled him in. After a hit batter, Zander Wiel hit a 3 run game tying homer. Michael Parks held Germantown scoreless in the bottom half of the 7th. The blaze then added seven more runs in the 8th highlighted by long balls from Freeman and Mitchell's second in two innings. Germantown hit a homerun in the bottom half but the Blaze prevailed 19-15.

My bad, I knew about Orphanos and he is legit. He somehow just slipped my mind at the time. Duh

Smith, Moore, and Dodd are the pitchers at Oakland. A sleeper to watch is Dustin Hughes. Idk about the "quality" of their bullpen however. I have a feeling those pitchers will be going deep into a lot of ballgames. The last thing a team wants is fatigued starters come tourney time. The same goes for siegel. Watson and Sims will be logging a lot of innings for them this year. I know Riverdale has Frebis and Francis but who else? I believe Blackman has the best staff. They have two LEGIT starters in Mitchell and Harvey and a number of very adequate pitchers who can be # 3's. Their bullpen is full of pitchers who already have varsity innings under their belt. The junior Vondohlen has nasty stuff with upper 80's velo. Lets not forget they were the only state tournament team out of Rutherford Co. and the only pitcher they lost was Sisco and he was unavailible to pitch during the postseason due to injury.
