I would like to add that if TheEdge2010 were a real scout (I think he's a 15 year old bench warmer) he would offer advice on what he thought Gant might improve on or how he thought "the issues that we are concerned with" may be corrected. I can't believe that scouts and coaches don't notice potential and real talent that they can mold to their purpose. If they can't, then what is their job anyway? Babysitting? Gant has a natural talent, he know the game of baseball, and know how to win. All of that said, TheEdge2010 is constantly saying Gant is not college material. Maybe cause he is just before entering his Junior year in high school. Ya think??? Anyway as far as colleges go..Gant's coaches have already been contacted by several college coaches a few of them SEC coaches. If "they" say he throws 90mph, then he is probably 84-85. We played them, you're right he throws 80-85, he is really good at running the ball in on the hands with the 2 seam. He lkes to finish hitters off with that for 3rd strike. He is a good hitter. The gun at Pringles Park had him at 88 several times. Velocity aside, he is a smart pitcher that knows the game and he knows how to make a batter get himself out.

What level of support does the baseball team get from Wayne Countians? My guess is not alot. I saw them play last year and about 1/3 of the team had their shirts un-tucked, no hustle at all, Has there been a coaching change since then?
