  1. Siegel is going to probably run away with the district this year. I'm not sure, but I think district 7 is pretty weak this year compared to past years.
  2. I don't see how Buchanan could beat anybody. They haven't won a game out there in years and now they're playing against much more talented teams and bigger schools. I know they have SOME new kids but the majority of they're players will still come from the elementary school, right? just seems like they wouldn't be that good. Siegel and Oakland should be the teams to watch. I've also heard Rock Springs could run away with the north division.
  3. Ash is a dictator! That's why people are leaving! Known the little man a long time and wouldn't work for him for a million dollars! Lol! Just my opinion of course. As for as Ensworth goes how can you blame a kid for wanting to better himself! Are you seriously comparing Lavergne to Ensworth? What planet are you on? Lol!
  4. Shame on us all for ever faulting a 14 year old for making that kind of decision! Its about who can provide the BEST education, and if my child had the opportunity to attend a private school with tremendous up side I would choose that institution. Period! Regardless of athletics! Come on people! Giving your child something you never would have be able to, makes a huge difference in the decision of parents! Stop being so one minded (athletics) and start seeing the big picture! I don't think any parent would turn down that opportunity! EVER! Ensworth is a premiere high school and even they don't make in sports they still have a big advantage if they choose to go to college and do something else!
  5. That's true. As long as he stays in the city schools he could still volunteer but if he moved to the county system he couldn't! That seems crazy to me.He's a great coach. In my opinion.
  6. Eric Bonner from Scales has coached for years, both boys and girls, and would be an asset to any team but Rutherford County won't let EA's help coach anymore! That's why he stays in the city league.
  7. hooper didnt go undefeated in 04-05 Blackman won the county tournament that year central got put out by Rock springs I don't think he was coaching then but if he was he would have been the girls coach. He only helped Couey for one year.
  8. on the varsity level Blackman was more talented the year they won the state sectionl. I was said as far as jv those 3 years central was more talented just outcoached And Hooper was the jv coach then right? Need I say more? Nope Hooper wasn't coaching then. Last year was his first year back since 2005. He was Couey's assistant and JV head coach and he went undefeated. Check your facts before you bash the guy!
  9. From what I've heard he's gonna have a lot of talent next year. As far as the divisions go I agree with y'all that the south looks like the tougher one.
  10. I agree with you on most things Packers but I know for a FACT that Hooper would not have gotten the OMS job. Wright was not going to let that happen!! And from what I have been told Oakland and Buchanan both contacted Decker for their jobs. No idead who goes to LMS. Maybe Bill Hockenberry. As a Murfreesboro fan I hope thats who they hire! ha ha I hope Decker didn't pay too much attention to the way Dotson coached! LOL!!
  11. I think Decker will be a good coach and was the right man for the job but I beileve if Hooper had applied at Oakland Middle he would have gotten the job. Not that it matters now. Lol! Any word on who else might have applied for the Lavergne Middle job?
  12. Nah, my son played for both Couey and Hooper and I can assure you "gotcha" was not part of his practice! LOL! Hooper ran practice 6 days a week and had all of his players have a behavior sheet signed everyday! Even my son who made straight A's had to have that! I don't think you win the county tourny and finish runner-up in the state without having a good coach. He's the real deal. He keeps his guys very discplined and works hard. I might be a little biased but Hooper is a good coach make no mistake! Decker will be loaded next year and should have a very good season. He's the real deal too though! Both were good hires and I look forward to seeing our middle school league develop into strong feeders into ALL of the high schools!
  13. I'd say 2 years maybe 3. They are all freshman or 8th graders now. Siegel Middle also has the Stoeker kid that might be a beast if he'll work hard. Siegel is gonna be tough to beat for awhile! What does Oakland and Blackman have coming back or coming up do you know?
  14. I'm sure Dotson has somebody in mind. That won't take long to fill. I haven't heard about the guy from Florida. Do you have his name?
  15. Siegel should be the team to beat for the next 4 or 5 years with the talent they're gonna have. Two sets of brothers will be starting for Dotson in 2 years if they develop like they should. Here are some names that we'll be hearing about: Ryan Jones, Charles Clark, Robert Brandon, Tae Martin, and Damien Clark. Like I said that should be the starting 5 but...
