With our cancelation last night, I got to take in Forest vs Jo Byrns. Forest was by far better of two teams but seemed to be lopsided umpire behind the plate. We sat right behind home plate and I feel the umpire squeeze Jo Byrns a whole lot more than Forest. Jo Byrns pitcher had more velocity than Forest pitcher, so may have been a factor. JMHO

As an avid box score watcher, I would say E. Robertson and Foreest will advance to substate. E.R & Forrest eams seem to handle their own district well Jo Byrnes seems a little inconsistent, one game is close next is blowout Moore County has lots of youth, and only beat Forrest I think once E. Robertson was there last year and can handle the pressure. Not to mention being one game away from state last yer makes you want it more, we know, lol Forrest has been there is years past, with good coaching

Looks like East Robertson is top dog and in the Championship game for District 10, after beating Jo Byrns 8-0. Houston County appears to be not as strong this year, but #2 seed is up for grabs. Houston County plays White House Heritage and winner would get Jo Byrns, then E. Robertson in Championship.

Moore County is basketball school. Lost to Giles County 13-2 in like 4 inning scrimmage this week. Cascade could be the the year. Couple young pitchers that make a difference and I believe was close last year. We beat them but was solid team. I watched Forrest lose in Region game 1-0 last year to Houston County. I say Cascade takes District 9A

I apologize for original post. My question was more in fact of when do you actually start collecting stats for the season, not methodology that you use to keep the stats. I have used Turbo Stats, Excel, IScore, GameChanger, etc..? Kind of like if there is an umpire do you keep the stats for tha annual total, even though it is a tournament or playday or do you wait until season actually starts to start official stats? Or Stats just from district games, etc.

How do most schools handle stat keeping? Do you keep scrimmages, tournaments, regular/post season all together? Or just regular season, minus the others. Would love to here input.. Last year we kept two sets of stats... ALL (scrimmages, tournaments, season and post season) and then kept just regular season.. I know some keep district stats only? I know stats are what they are, and only as good or worth very little. I am just a numbers guy and interested what the masses do. Thanks
