Thank both of y'all. I told myself before we left the hotel if we lose today it would be to a very quality and classy program. I lost my mother December 8th and I loved her more than life itself. I feel very blessed that God blessed the Lady Pioneers. The Loretto Gatlinburg Pittman game was an instant classic as was the McMinn Central York game. I knew all season our defense was for real and I think we showed the state we could play big time defense on a big stage. Again hats off to Loretto. I love their program.  Very classy program.

They were very fun to watch. I told the guy setting behind me that they were going to win it. Very quick. Wayne County jumped on them but they came back. Congratulations.

Congratulations to Coach Strayhorn and Dyersburg. Coach Strayhorn has done a lot for girls basketball in West TN.

This one will shine a bunch. I have been looking at our defensive stats all year and they were off the charts. The Bartlett win was the one that gave our girls a bunch of confidence.

With that being said, my biggest knock on the officiating is their mechanics. The mechanics are too robotic, and they seem to be more worried about making sure their mechanics are crisp and clear, rather than getting the call right.

Congratulations to the Gibson County Lady Pioneers! It’s been a while since the last time they’ve won a title, and I’m proud to see what Coach Wilkins has done to those ladies! All of the Wilkins’ can coach, but they’re also seem to be doing a great job off the court! Safe travels back to Dyer!

No doubt I think Westview will be good. Think Gibson County will be good later. We got Micah and Madison's sister coming up that will help us. We will both be favored to get up here and if we do we will see what happens.

 Maybe connected, maybe not...it's been next to impossible to log on to the message boards for me for the past few days. Home page usually comes up as well as the scoreboard, but the message board won't load. 

Same with me. I was in hotels and some times I would wait a minute or so and it would load. Crazy.

They knocked us out in 2022.  They have everyone coming back next year so they, like McMinn Central and Gatlinburg Pittman this year. will be likely favored to win it but you never know up here what will happen.

York is a great team with everyone coming back. We appreciate the hospitality. Great team. McMinn Central game was a big time contest.

Upperman's defense was lights out. They were in great position every single time with that 2-3 zone. Thought South Gibson's defense wasn't bad either. Upperman made their shots. South Gibson didn't. Dyersburg is very athletic. They kinda went with the flow a lot not being challenged in West Tennessee and kinda playing to the level of their competition. Ought to be a dogfight for sure. Game will probably come down to Turnovers and Rebounds like you said. Dyersburg is loaded with talent with more on the way. Be interesting game for sure.

Upperman defense smothering as well. 14 points is unheard of. Thanks and same to y'all. Upperman really good and fundamental. Dyersbirg is tough too. We all will need a week to recuperate after this week but it has been lots of good games. Very blessed to be here for sure.

Both teams with very emotional wins and have to hit the ground running today and forget about yesterday.  I think Loretto hit 1 three and Gibson County hit 1 three. I agree Gibson County has to shoot better.

We all know that any of these games can go either way. Gibson County has played very fundamental all year and great defense. I honestly knew we would hold our own but you never know up here. Upper Cumberland has some great teams in York, Upperman and Pickett County for sure. We all knew that Loretto, Summertown, Gibson County, Huntingdon and Westview the last 3 years have all had to battle amongst ourselves and all could win a Gold Ball. Gibson County and Loretto are battling it out again and both are very well coached with great programs and even greater people running it. Both teams very deserving. Will be a war for sure as both teams know each other well.

Yeah going to be another war for sure. Gibson County and Loretto both grinded for four quarters. Both were down in the game but had big second halves. Just a blessing to be in this position to play for another Gold Ball. Truly blessed.

Yep he found a way for sure.  She would have been tough to deal with playing man to man. 

Proud of our girls. What a win. It was a grind but we finished it off. Loretto also with a big win. Big time atmosphere. Loretto and Gibson County will be another war for sure. Very thankful and blessed to be here for sure.

Yep Westview's zone has been pretty lethal to many. I know we will have to rebound and get the 50/50 balls. They do a good job with that too.

We have played them twice in the last two years, once this past summer. Hard to guard her man to man. McMinn Central couldn't guard her man to man and they can play defense. Will be interesting for sure. Westview done a great job guarding them the last two years.

Yep that have had a great year especially with the injuries they have had. Embry has been there so she isn't a rookie at these types of games. Upperman is really good. South Gibson will have to play well.

Upperman looked good yesterday for sure. We played them last year in Murfreesboro in summer and their JV was loaded so I figured they would be good eventually this year after a slow start. Dyersburg can play with them and have the horses to win it, but Upperman will be a challenge. This is all providing Dyersburg and Upperman advance but I do think they are the most talented.

Appreciate the compliment. York is very good as is GP and Loretto. We knew AA was loaded. Always a blessing to be here for sure.

Crazy things happen up here. Good to see you today and congratulations on a big win. That was a great game. Both teams played their hearts out. Nothing would surprise me tommorow. All AA games today were in the single digits. Good luck and good to see you again.
