Clarksville High School is hosting the Workman Spring Classic this weekend at CHS and several other sites throughout the city. We have 13 schools participating from Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio. Teams participating this weekend include: Clarksville High, School, Clarksville TN Christian County High, Hopkinsville KY Wooster High, Wooster OH Rossview High, Clarksville TN Brentwood High , Brentwood TN Germantown High, Germantown TN Northwest High, Clarksville TN Trigg County High, Cadiz KY Mason High, Mason OH Northeast High, Clarksville TN Hickman County High, Clinton KY Creekwood High, Dickson TN Harpeth High, Kingston Springs TN I will be posting score updates all weekend on coachT, and everyone is welcome to check out http://www.clarksvillebaseball.net for more information on the tournament. We are trying to build this tournament as an opportunity for top programs in Tennessee to face top programs from our north. Good point. Homeruns in high school are a really misleading stat. Some high school fields are 340 in center. Some are 410. Think that makes a difference? Then you have Single A and Triple A baseball. The quality and especially the depth of pitching really skews those numbers. Home run totals are really irrelevant to me, but fun for some to talk about.

Yes, they did. Rossview blew a 6-3 lead in the 7th to move to 0-4. CHS took the first two down in Florida, beating Paxton 12-2 and Navarre 7-4

It's a tough call. We're down here in Florida right now playing teams from Arkansas and Florida that start playing when we start practice, February 14. And on top of that, they have no restrictions as far as dead periods go. How nice that would be! But again, they are allowed fewer games than we are.

CHS defeats Rossview again 7-3

Great job on the broadcasts of the games. I think that's a really neat idea. CHS played Rossview last night in front of a huge crowd. CHS JV won 4-1 behind two solid pitching performances. In the varsity contest, CHS also won 5-4. They play again Thursday at Rossview.
