  1. I agree, Bryce Beeler's stats were more impressive in my opinion. Roberts has him beat in one category..HRs,But as it has already been pointed out.. Beeler had 14 more RBIs. Which is more important to the TEAM aspect of the game.
  2. MavMaximus Good post, I agree on the point of many of the players on both teams have played with/against each other most of their baseball careers. What gets to me is apparently the coach "jawing" about the tag at second base not only to the umpire but to the SS Paul McConkey. After the heated inning and exchanged words.. ironically McConkey is beamed first pitch of his at bat. Intential..or an extreme coincidence. But somehow Halls is accused of being unclassy. Yes, Andrew Barkley is a Junior. Lefty.
  3. gohard I'm glad you agree. I have heard Durand was around 80 mph.. posts on here claim he is mid 80s, and Williams was definately not mid 80's like majority of these posts on him say. Halls proved themselves to shut down AC's "ace". I look to see the same result with Durand if Halls plays as capable.
  4. We will see how he does against Halls, a BIG step up from what he has seen so far. Should be fun to watch.
  5. Andrew Barkley will be pitching on the Wednesday matchup. And for the ignorant one who called halls unclassy, are you kidding me? For getting pumped up about a couple RBI doubles? Or was it that 3 run homerun that Halls's 9th batter hit? Maybe you should look back to Halls's shortstop getting pegged after ACs "unclassy" coach argued with the same player about clearly tagging a runner out. Accept defeat, it will most likely occur again. Probably tonight at Anderson county.
  6. Halls has 4 players with some pretty high numbers, Paul McConkey with 5, Josh Hillard with 6, and Bryce Beeler with 6 also. Jared Burton has 3. They have around 25 as a team.
  7. Halls beat them 9-1, Halls has way too much depth, and has no weak spots in the lineup. Halls will come out with the sweep.
  8. Maryville beat Halls off of little pop fly hits to the outfield. Hit nothing solid all game, not to say thats not part of the game. But without those annoying LUCKY hits.. it would have been a complete different ball game. Not to mention Halls had a bad defenseive day.. AND to top it off, Maryville didn't even make it to the championship game of that tournament...Halls won it. Maryville is not that strong..just lucky.
  9. You have a point, the game doesn't go down as a win but you have to admit it gives Halls confidence. Halls apparently plays Maryville again Thursday, in the Lenoir City Classic I beleive. So that game actually counts.
  10. The game Halls beat Maryville in was preseason, but they pitched the same pitcher against Halls as they did Farragut. Halls put up 8 runs against him. I think Halls has a chance to beat Farragut if the two cross in Region.
  11. OK, So Halls has played these "terrible" teams so you say, How can you determine they are mediocre if the haven't had the opportunity to prove themselves with some real competition? Every "terrible" team they have played they have run ruled, with the exception of one Karns game. Throw a "better" team in front of them, they will compete.
  12. Let's not forget about Halls beating Maryville 8-0. Didn't Maryville beat Farragut?
  13. Let's not forget about Halls beating Maryville 8-0. Didn't Maryville beat Farragut?
  14. Durand has pitched against Hardin Valley and Campbell County. The two Weakest teams Anderson County will square off against. I will beleive he has "improved" and that he is "D1" when I see his performance against Halls.. a team that will light him up. Not a team he will strikeout 15 plus batters.
