  1. Amen to those replies in support of Coach Pack. Reminds me of another David, long ago, who accomplished great things, messed up big time with Bathsheeba, and with God's help turned it around.
  2. I believe that the young man referred to as Baby Shaq" was Aurie Allen (I'm probably mispelling his first name), not John Henderson.
  3. That's fantastic. Both kids are total competitors, good character kids, from great families. Jacob is one of those kids that's been making clutch plays, whether they're fantastic catches on football field or game-winning 3s in basketball, his entire career, at every level he's played. His parents, Roy and Maria Carter, are beloved around town. Great athletic genes in fam. C Sacks is a great football and baseball player, but a football injury knocked him out of baseball this year. Bo and Diane Sacks are first-class parents.
  4. I was disappointed with the selections to the Division 2 all-state team. I felt that Division 2-A got too many honorees (9) compared to Division 2-AA (5). I feel strongly that Division 2-AA teams are across the board much better that Division 2-A teams. Ensworth, if you look at their body of work over the course of the entire season, was prolly the best team in D 2, both classes, yet they got no one on the team. Daniel McFadden was very deserving (27 points in state semis), as was Connor McDermott and Corn Elder. Weldon Garlington of BA is a great player. He deserved it too. I'm the father of an MBA player so I'm not tooting my own school or kid.
