Coach Dodgen and Coach Cool are excellent coaches and they run an excellent program. The coaching at Farragut should never be an issue. It's been my experience (and I am not talking about Farragut) that over zealous boosters and sometimes the parents (I know it's hard to believe) can be an issue in an athletic program. ScottA11, I am having trouble following your posts First, it was that Catholic owns Farragut in Basketball. Then Players go to Catholic for the good coaching and their ability to develop talent. However, Farragut has a great coaching staff that runs an excellent program Since you seem to be an authority on Catholic. Why would a player want to attend there instead of Farragut since they have equal coaching staffs...and if The coaching staff is so amazing at Farrragut how does Catholic have a 100-2 record against FHS or whatever it was? I am just interested in the difference between programs.

Most of the parents feel its a high school coaching issue.

I have lived in Knoxville the last 30 years and i can't remember one in the last 15, its always Bearden or Maryville. i think farragut might have won a district title when Brent Watts was a JR or SR (96 or 97. That is shocking to me! I am a parent of a Middle School player and many of our players have gone to private schools and that might be the resaon why.

When was the last time Farragut boys won a District Tournament Championship?
