  1. "The TSSAA defines a bona fide change of residence as “a move from one community to another that justifies a change of schools. Where a family continues to maintain a previous residence for the residential purposes of that family or any of its members, the move is not one that justifies a change of schools for purposes of the TSSAA bylaws.†Is it just me or does anyone else wonder how schools like goodpasture/lipscomb an others that are private yet still play in public get around this resisdency rule? oh yea they are allowed to have players from anywhere reguardless of their address(es) and usually funnel them in during their soph/junior year when they are ready to play. Seems like 1a-3a has a double standard problem with or without the multiplier. One day publics will wise up and boot them all out totally.
  2. "To the person or persons responsible for calling T$$AA to start with, I'd just like to say "What goes around comes around." Karma will get you in the end, my friends." People on here whinning about rules being enforced, show how backward they are. Publics have cried for years about privates and when the cleat is on the other foot they feel they have been done wronged, when in fact rules HAVE been broken. I hate it for the kids, but at least Tucker won't have have an * beside his all time yards record or will he since all thats been on here is how he isn't the whole team. As for PC program its not the first time they've been caught. Didn't the boys basketball get caught bending the rules a little and wasn't it one of the yocals that blew the whistle? Maybe there are some more jealous twits in the wood pile or maybe these teams pc has run up the score on didn't like it, know your enemy(s). So it seems like the eye of the T$$aa has been and should have been at least looking pc's way. Don't ask for all the hype & respect on social media and not expect to draw attention. Also maybe someone in pc ath. dept should read up on the by laws find out what all the public schools should be trying to go by. Don't think karma has anything to do with it when its in black and white. Plus it was on here all summer about linemen moving to the new mecca of football pc. That shouldn't raise any eyebrows should it? or that in recent history pc was on the news with no jobs and people lined up for hours, hey that sounds like a great place lets move there. no nothin suspicious here. After all pc is a basketball town. Or soon will be again.
  3. Lots of schools are in their 2-3 years of running the Spread offense. As observers what have we learned and what makes this system click? Pros? Cons?
  4. Public schools have to play with kids from their county/district boundary. $ schools don't whats fair about that. Other states such as AL have lower population than TN but more classifications to level the field. The classification is messed up when you have schools with say less than 600 kids competing with schools with 900+ how many footballs could one field with 300 extra kids??? So even if you had a great team and competed with larger schools you could have to play a school that is allowed to get kids from all over the state and produce an all star team. Anyway don't care who gets squeezed, just saying it's a flawed system and the enrollment #'s add to the problem.
  5. Any rural football school that hangs around the TSSAA playoffs long enough will learn that the path to gold/silver balls is blocked by privates and LC like several sucessful tradition rich programs that have lots of wins till they meet the $ teams that the tssaa dotes on.Along the same lines it is worth mentioning that the current classification system/method is skewed and unfair, just checkout the enrollment figures to see the teams that get squeezed. Also worth mentioning any coach that stays at any public program 20+ years is ok in my book.
  6. Dont know the particulars but guess this changing of the guard, LC was old school to the core , hard to coach that way these days.
  7. Been awhile since I gandered at Murphy Fair but I'm thinking Sharp has more career wins than pc has in school football history. Where is this game taking place?
  8. As of late they lose steam, had them picked over pc in last years game thought they could match up in space with them,PC better system yes not better athletes, Also I was at the last championship Lake football was in Nashville (runners up)94 LC had Jewel Flowers, what ever happened to him?
  9. Is this a two team district or will Mt. Pleasant xfactor in? I think there will be some suprises.
  10. spread teams have to be pressured, so guess why I sided with WC, which is ball control.
  11. Week 10 so far away but off the cuff the most interesting aspect of season/game will be qb play. Can rice switching to qb work and can pc oline protect theirs?
  12. teton

    2 pt play?

    Here, Here!!!
  13. Wayne co line should be better than PC since PC's will be all new and don't forget a seasoned coaching staff at WC. Lake Co. always loses steam in Nov.
  14. How are things looking in PC?
