  1. Who will it be? Who has thrown their name in the hat?
  2. If you do not want to read about the IMAC, simply refrain from clicking the link. So you think a good AA team could have advanced past DC and Science Hill??? I think you should know better SC and Jeff Co should be proud they faced some VERY good pitching last night! Im sure Iknowbetter's AA team will not face that kind of talent (esp if he is from PF). But he would know better than me.
  3. Well, I guess we know your point of view. I am not a SC fan, I have no son on SC team, and my son did not make all district nor should he have. Having said that, there is no way one could objectively look at this district and the All District team and say that SC was not screwed. Traywick may very well be a horse's rear, but he is a darn good coach. He took what others consider NO TALENT and won. I personally see talent on that team and A LOT of heart. The catcher is a sophomore, who plays with emotion. Obviously SC emotion took them farther than the rest of IMAC's "talent". I wish our team could have beaten SC, we did once, but they won the rest. I am a realist and the IMAC coaches should be ashamed. Why does Jeff Co dislike SC sooooo much?
  4. I am guessing you were talking about the Houser kid, the one that pitched last night. He SHOULD have made it. Just from seeing three reg season games and three tournament games, I believe that your second basemen, catcher, the kid that plays 3rd and RF, and 1st basemen were VERY strong candidates for ALL District. Not saying anyone that made it shouldn't have, but SC's team is solid. The fact is they were first in season and honestly this is the first time I have witnessed a first place team not having the most members. TSSAA should set standards on how awards with their name on it are selected. Should not be left up to coaches, they are after al human.
  5. It will be interesting.... he does get results, and will sure get offers to go elsewhere. Where is he originally from? What ties does he have to SC? Those are questions that may dictate how long he will be there. Not sure he reminds me of Kiffen .... more like a very young Saban. He rubbs a lot the wrong way, my wife cannot stand him, BUT I will ask you Red81KPsmash would you feel the same if he were your teams coach?
  6. I hope I was not misunderstood, I think SC Coach is a good coach, but i have seen ALOT of baseball most of which was in GA and AL. Coaches like him are either loved(mostly by his parents/team/fans) or hated (people who want him as their coach). Having said that, I like our coach, but he could use a little more fire.
  7. How were the All District Players picked? Normally, the higher seeds gets the most and so on. I thought the players were picked based on play during this season's games. If you look at last season, 3 of the 8 teams were in different districts, so why would you look at that. I know some of our fans really do not like Sevier Co. coach, but he is just a competitor. This looks really bad on IMAC coaches, they voted on popularity not on play. If all the coaches can honestly say Sevier Co has less talent, what does that say about the rest of the IMAC coaches. Either they voted immaturely, or the Sevier Co coach is a coaching savant. Congrats to Sevier Co. Good luck in Region to Jeff Co and Sevier. Co
  8. Did Kirkland play? I heard that the law was looking for him at school on Thursday. Kirkland played, pitched too and then was relieved. Was a good game. East fought hard and pulled it out. Looking for another win today against the Bears.
  9. Now that we know the brackets.....any predictions???? I do not know who will win this thing, but my guess would be that it will between West, Seymour, and SD.
  10. To my understanding, the Union players were ejected from the game and that is what the umpires reported to TSSAA. Those boys then did not sit out their 2 games. No one had to leave field during the Jeff Co/Sevier Co game, so they were not ejected. Whatever umpires turn in on report to TSSAA stands, if I am wrong please correct me.
  11. If there is a video I know some who would pay to view!!!!
  12. I was also at the game, and did not see a blatant swing. I was there observing as a fan of baseball not for either team, but a fan of another district team. As a long time observer of the game, and not know exactly what was said on the field, you must understand that the coach was trying to win a game and protect his players first. I have witnessed the coach during several district match-ups this year and he and his players are passionate. I am sure if the umps had deemed it necessary all involved would have been ejected. Also, even though Jeff co. dugout came out to as you say pull of the play, it is a violation for ANYONE to come out of the dugout except the coach. I think all was handled well, baseball can be an emotional game. I am glad that no one on either side was ejected, b/c it would mean missing 2 games in district tournament. I wish all teams in IMAC the best! Congratulations to Sevier County on District Regular Season Championship. As far as the tournament, I think it is anyone's to win. Everyone of the top 6 teams have a chance at moving on to region. Just wish we all did not have to travel to Sevier County(sev/sey). Does anyone know brackets and times?? Again good luck to ALL!!!
