  1. Farragut pithched Phifer on three days rest to start the state tourney and he's throwing the championship game today on two days rest. I assure you the coaches at Farragut know how to handle pithchers. Not throwing Norris in the opening game and the throwing him only 3 innings in the tourney should cost whoever is making the decisions their job. Why pull Norris in the Coffee Co. game if you weren't planning on throwing him against Mt. Juliet?
  2. If Edwards wasn't gonna start Norris, why didn't he come with him when they got behind early. There wa no tomorrow. It makes you wonder if someone else isn't pulling the strings. Defense did let them down in the 1st loss to MJ, but if Norris is on the mound then how many of those balls are even in play. Edwards lost this tourney by not throwing Norris in Game 1. Phifer threw on three days rest if i'm not mistaken. I'm not a parent or really a fan of science hill. I did pay college baseball and know you can't lose that 1st game and get into the losers bracket.
  3. Sure hope we beat Sevier Co. tonight. We sure don't want to have to face Science Hill in the first round of the regionals. They will throw Daniel Norris. He is the #1 ranked high school pitcher in the nation according to Baseball America and Rival.com. He threw his 4th no-hitter this year monday night against Davy Crockett he struck out 19 and on the Baseball America message board one college coach in attendance said he got him on the radar gun 93-97! He said he hit 96 in the 7th inning. I've saw him pitch 3 times this year and he's amazing! Good luck Pats!
  4. Norris from Science Hill threw another no-hitter last night against Tennessee High. That's his 4th this year. He also had 19 K's. He was still hitting 93-94 on the radar guns in the 6th inning
  5. Daniel Norris of Science Hill is listed by Baseball America as the #1 pithching prospect in the nation class of 2011. He's a lefty who throws mid 90's. The Perfect Game lists him as the #1 overall prospect high school or college for the 2011 draft.
  6. Will Craig at Science Hill is dominating. He was hitting .436 with 9 homeruns and 38rbi's as of tuesday in one of the toughest districts in the state. He is 6-2 on the mound as well with a 2.34 era and a fastball clocked at 86 in the 6th inning in their game against Elizabethton.
