Listen everyone! Our school board/EaglePride speaks again.

Wow! I questioned how much gas Coach Adams had left in his tank but 2 DAYS!! WHATS HAPPENED NOW??? Someone enlighten us.

Pride, I knew for sometime I didn't like or agree with ANYTHING you seemed to have on your mind BUT your stupidity has NO BOUNDARIES! Are you sure your not one of those highly intellectuals on our school board???

Evertime I read this it gets more disturbing! Disturbing is not really the word that I want to use. Rhea Co most of the other posters have covered all the bases but I personally want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for our young men, coaches, and this program! You have spent COUNTLESS hours and been a huge part of this program in so many ways! You are without a doubt one of if not the most respected poster on Coach T period! ALWAYS know you have been highly respected and considered a close friend to all of us especially here in the BigBird house! Administration. This is unbelievable and VERY disappointing.

It appears you were wrong about ALOT of things! After reading a few of your posts I bet you get that alot. I DEFINITELY cannot coach high school football but I can sometimes judge talent. Did you not notice almost every friday night we were outmatched when it came to talent. That is no way shape or form a jab at our young men! Bottom line throw all their forty times, shuttles, verticals, etc and WE LOSE and lose by a large margin. At the end of the night we pulled out or was in alot of games we should not have been in! Coach Fitz and staff had our kids ready. They believed in themselves, teammates, and coaches! You are entitled to your opinion and some of us are too. Some might even man up and let someone know when they are bashing them. Hint Hint

If the BigBird family can make it happen we will definitely make a game or two. Kev is one awesome young man from a great family that is going to do great things in his life. Go Mocs!

I don't know Rodda on a personal level but I have talked to several of the kids over the past several years. This is a bold ugly statement but NOT one of them had much if ANY to say about him on a positive note. I really don't like throwing that out there BUT this is our kids and they deserve the best we can give them. I don't think that is the answer.

This is getting pretty comical. Keep up the entertainment. We still have days to wait.

Most of us would LOVE to see you step aside. Step aside from your computer awhile. Start taking some steps outside of our county! We have read your posts for years and you have absolutely NOTHING nice or positive to say about the program. NOTHING! Your screen name is a joke! You are one of those that moans, groans, and complains EVERY opportunity you can but has NEVER done anything to help. Trust me. There is ways that we all can help. One way is for us to STOP the negativity and get behind these players and coaches NO MATTER who it is. This is in my opinion the best group of players since 2008 where we made a quarterfinal appearance. Our new coach is coming into a good situation as far as players go. Sure am ready to see who it's going to be!

I have talked to ALOT of players, parents, and supporters of the program and NOT a single one thought Davis would be the right fit. Nothing personal against him at all. I would like to see Coach Davis in a bigger role or maybe the same but most of us feel Coach Cook needs to be the new face of the Golden Eagles. I feel he will be VERY successful as a head coach and is the best fit for our program and children for YEARS to come!

I know and like each of these individuals as coaches and men. Bottom line Coach Cook

After a few days and lots of discussion our family strongly feels Coach Cook is the the best hire. I REALLY believe he is on the brink of doing GREAT things WHEREVER he is at. Some of the other candidates are qualified but this is where we stand. He has been involved in our county's football for years. He grew up here. He laced em up and strapped it on here! He knows football and most of all I believe he will make our kids better men. I am definitely not one for hiring one of these guys that has a trend of leaving in a year or two. Coach Cook is one of our own! Lets treat him like one!

Coach I know you were not implying that the ex coaches played favs nor were you calling your players duds. I know you care about each one of your kids. You are doing a good job with the program here at Rhea and we appreciate you. I do have one suggestion for an opportunity for improvement though. I have personally seen some athletes drop out of basketball because they couldn't make all the required workouts practices etc. Some are two to three sport athletes that are usually involved at multiple sports at a time. Some of these individuals I have witnessed could definitely come off the bench and give you valuable minutes and provide better depth. I understand basketball is not seasonal anymore just like every other sport isn't but I think you need to realize basketball is not every childs primary sport. One child particular had to quit because he had summer football workouts early in the morning, basketball practice early afternoon, then two hour drive and a two to three hour baseball practice then two hour drive back home each day. It is their youth and somehow it has to work if a young man or woman wants to play multi sports. Back to the coaching search!

Big name coach??? E.K. is not a big name coach. Maybe a BIG CLASSLESS coach that seems to fit right in there at cleveland. It's obvious that we don't have the money to pay a big name like G.Q. and we don't have someone dropping millions in our program so why don't you HELP instead of continually trying to bring our program down. What ideas or hires do you think would benefit this program?

I understand your post but like it has been said there is never a good time. I have alot of respect for Coach Fitz and his desision. I wish him and his family the very best and hope to see him on the sidelines next season somewhere. EVEN if it is somewhere like Cleveland! He has done alot for so many of our kids through the years. I hope our admin has learned something today. I do understand there was more than admin to reach that decision though. Him and his family have been through more than any parent should EVER have to face this past year. This is a huge loss to our program. Coach, you are a great man and coach and will be missed by many!!!

I really feel sorry for you. You are really a unhappy person. Whatever had happened to you let it go. Be a MAN!

I for one like the idea of hiring one that has close ties. Most of the candidates listed sound entertaining but there is one that stands out above the rest to me. Coach Cook. We all have seen what he has done at Spring City for several years. He has been on staff for the past couple of years. He knows our young men. I believe he is ready and this would be a perfect opportunity. It obviously appears that he wants to move up in rank. Not to mention he is a great upstanding citizen in our community. UT was in a similar situation where they had to hurry and make a hire. They made a hire and no doubt had questions if he was really ready. It seems to be working out ok for them. There will be a learning curve as to every new position in the workplace. Bottomline I believe Coach Cook is ready and would grab it by the horns IF he was offered and accepted the position.

Agreed! He is a wonderful man and there is not a coach on that field that cares anymore about our kids than he does. I got to know Coach Cameron quite well over the course of the past few years and seen just how much he does for our kids on and off the field. The BigBird family will truely miss him. I think administration, school board, etc needs a good swift kick in the rear! Lets start with the Chairman of the board. Yeah Dale you! You talked like you could do it better than anybody. Now is your chance. You are the ones that need to get it together!
