Monterey over RBS in a close one. Clarkrange over Pickett Co. by 10 or so. Clay Co. romps over Hermitage Springs 20+. Pickett Co. is playing much better and will be ready for Clarkrange. Monterey is dying for revenge over RBS. Clay Co. will get their offense on track against Hermitage Springs.

Clarkrange just stunk it up in the second half of this game...the worst showing of the year I think...no defense at all. Give LA lots of credits, when they had an open look from outside, they made Clarkrange pay. In refernce to Clarkrange's inside game, I think Clarkrange has one of the best post players in the area. She had a horrible game, but she has scored 20+ several times this season. Howard is only a Jr too! I got a little frustrated with the officials and how they let the Mullins girl foul all night and waited until we were down by 15 to start calling fouls ( handchecks, etc, inside??). No excuses, LA handed us a spanking, just like they did 2 times last year. Maybe we can make something happen the next time we play them. If Clarkrange plays like this again Friday, Pickett Co. has a shot at beating 'em.

This is the first meeting of the season for these two teams. Livingston is riding a big high after winning their Christmas Tourney. Clarkrange has had a couple of weeks rest. Will they be in game form? They'd better be, Livingston is better than their record shows and they are always tough at home. Should be a great game. How do you guys see this one shaping up?

maybe you guys are right. Clarkrange did loose some great players last year, but I just do not see a huge dip like you all do. Monterey- better, RBS- same, Clay Co- smaller, so a little down maybe, Hermitage Spgs- better, Pickett Co. - worst team in 20 years. It all kinda evens out to me.

When are we gonna move away from the 13AA vs. 7AA thing. Last year, 7AA was clearly dominant....this year 13AA seems better. You can not spend yopur whole season rubbing that one win in GC's face. It might come back to haunt ya later on.

I listened to the game on the radio and I remember them saying they were without four starters. So, were they just without 2? Regardless, we all know that they were still into football and a game against Clay Co. in basketball was not a high priority. I stand by my statement, that Livingston will take it out on Clay Co. when they meet again. It should be an easy win for LA.

I have a lot of respet for both Perry County and Summertown. I thought they both were great representatives in the state tourney last season. I would love to see head-to head matchups with Perry Co. vs. Clay Co. and Clarkrange vs. Summertown. I think that would be some great basketball. So they had a bad tournament, it scares me that they might learn from it and get better.....

Nope, RBS will loose, especially if the in house ref (Dyer) is in the house. Don't take my hostility personally, just feeling a little frisky on the keyboard! I personally do not think the boys are 1/2 as good as last year. And I thought the girls games was a fluke, much like you feel about CCHS loosing to RBS. We still know that CCHS has a better team. get my point?

Looks like another attempt by RBS/Macon Co. to put some hardware in their trophy case...they have to buy it themsleves. What a pitiful tournament, should it even bear the name torunament? Especially the girls.

there is no true validity to my opinion, i agree. But, it is hard to put Clay Co. above Clarkrange because of one upset. If they can do it again.....they'll be a solid #1...even in my mind....I know that you are 100% Clay Co. now DevilFanatic, is your son gonna start playing for Celina girls too when he comes off his injury????Look at who Clay Co. has played, then look at who Clarkrange has played, there's a pretty big difference. Loosing to Clay Co. was one of the best things that could have happened. As we know, nothing matters until tournaments, and thats when you'll see that I may have had a little validity in what I was saying.

Livingston is the best team this year, but I agree Pickett can compete with 'em. I don't think Clay Co. can. They may have beaten LA earlier, but they'll pay for that when they play again. Celina was without the Knight kid from Jackson Co. right. LA was without four starters???? big difference???huh?? Clay Co.'s transfers have not been that big of a factor this year.

I am not "overlooking" RBS. I don't think Westmoreland is as good as they have been and Celina played pitiful against you guys. Clarkrange will likely not take RBS lightly like last year. I do not think RBS will not beat Monterey, Celina, or Clarkrange again this year. Jordan is all they have inside and their guards are small and not early as quick as they have been. They do not have a proven leader on the team. They are lacking in a consistence offense. Pickett might even sneak up and beat them. ........i am not a big RBS fan............never have been.....never will.........but I do respect them and NEVER overlook them. I also do not know everything..so I may be completely WRONG.

why not? I thought they had a pretty good tournament of course it was on their home floor ( at least part of the time ) . Smith Co. just has a lot to prove to me right now. They have got to step up and be consistent. agree?

This is based on my opinion, and not their records- there is still a lot of big games to be played- this is were I rank them based on performance against other teams out of district as well as in district. same with the girls... 7A 1.
